Sheriff Waters of Jacksonville says Anthony McNeil Jr a 22-year-old, caused police to react the way they did and accuses McNeil of trying to set the public against law enforcement 👀

@DailyLoud 1. Drivers reason for having the door open is valid. 2. Police reason for the stop is bs 3. Driver requested supervisor multiple times and was ignored. 4. Excessive force use over fragile ego 5. Sitting in car and waiting for police to call supervisor is not same as resisting.

@DailyLoud Not unreasonable to arrest him for resisting but the use of force to the degree they did (punching him in the head repeatedly as he sits still) is wholly unjustified. Any reasonable person can see this and I'm confident a jury would as well.

@DailyLoud or you could just look up the number plate in the DMW database and send him a fine... the Police officer escalated a petty low level fine situation, which could have been solved easy, into a resisting arrest situation.

@DailyLoud The police role is to deescalate situations not hit people out of frustration, he couldve brought his supervisor just to show good faith instead he chose violence just to take his anger on a citizen he’s supposed to protect & serve.

@DailyLoud Okay, dude wasn't complying with the officer's request. But I feel like the police was eager for an escalation and saw this as justification. Is it the law to have DRLs on here? Whether it is or isn't, he's still supposed to provide ID. If he sees a violation he can go to court
