Frustrated & demoralised by their resounding defeat in the Rajya Sabha elections in #Karnataka, BJP leaders are peddling their favourite set of lowly lies of Pakistan Zindabad slogans being raised by supporters of Congress MP elect, Sh. Dr Syed Naseer Hussain, M P ! Not only is this an absolutely false bogey, this is the extreme sense of exasperation that exists in their perverted mindsets against anyone who belongs to a minority community, particularly a Muslim Minority. They are doing the same thing to our Sikh brothers in farm stir, calling them Khalistanis. A BJP MP from Karnataka recently again called all farmers Khalistanis. They do the same to the Christian Minority by raising a fake bogey of conversion. Congress and Karnataka Congress will not be intimidated by these fake propagandists, who can’t dare to speak a word against Modi Govt for unleashing economic blockade of Karnataka by denying over ₹62,098 CR in 15th Finance Commission to Karnataka, Loss of ₹76,880 to Karnataka in Tax Devolution, stopping the ₹5,300 CR for the Upper Bhadra Project and & 6,000 CR for the Peripheral Ring Road of Bengaluru. To the imbecile minds who tarnish an entire minority community with the same brush, please remember that Sh. Naseer Hussain is a committed Nationalist and doctorate from JNU, who has been elected President of JNU Delhi twice besides its Vice President and General Secretary. He has risen through the ranks of Youth Congress to be the Spokesperson of Congress and Whip of Party in Parliament. THABO MBEKI Some military coups in the African continent are justifiable. Democracy has failed most African nations. People go to the elections regularly, but elections produce outcomes which affirm the same three families. For example [ in Mali] power have been changing hands between three families. The youth are now gatvol of that. They want to break the cycle. Never mind the fact that they are wearing military uniforms. These are young people. They are want to cut chord with French colony. In West Africa, power has been consistently taken by old leaders who still swear their allegiance to their colonial masters. The youth say, it's enough now. They are now takinh over power with guns and say let's stop the nonsense. We can't blame these soldiers. We can criticise, but we need to understand. Even in SA it's not just enough to be in power through elections. Are people governing as the ANC documents say "People shall govern". We need to critically ask that. Power is not for self enrichment.

Absolutely Shocking! Former CEC S. Y. Quraishi calls the recent developments in Nepal a sign of “vibrant democracy” — not anarchy. But given his record, this reckless comment is hardly surprising. It was during Quraishi’s tenure that the Election Commission of India signed an MoU with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) — an outfit linked to George Soros’s Open Society Foundation, a known deep state operator and a close associate of the Congress party and the Gandhis. Worse, in a separate conversation, Quraishi himself admitted that after the 2007 UP Assembly elections, a “big leader” called him, complaining: “आपने हमारे बोगस वोटर्स को वोट देने नहीं दिया।” At the time, Quraishi was one of the Election Commissioners, and the Samajwadi Party, notorious for its Muslim appeasement politics, was in power but lost the election. If Quraishi knew this, why has he shielded the leader all these years? Was the SP indulging in Vote Chori? Who was this leader? This raises a larger question: If Quraishi knew about shifted, absent and dead (SAD) voters on the rolls, why did he never order a Special Intensive Revision (SIR)? He was EC from 2006–2010 and later CEC from 2010–2012 — it was his constitutional duty to act! In fact, neither he nor those who came after him — whether Ashok Lavasa, O. P. Rawat or others — lifted a finger to clean up our compromised voter lists for over 23 years, since the last SIR in 2003. And yet, these very people are now the media’s “go-to” critics of the current SIR. Let’s not forget: back then, the Prime Minister alone appointed the CEC. Today, a three-member panel, including the Leader of Opposition, makes that decision. The old guard owes its posts entirely to the Congress system, and it shows. It is time to call out these insipid tenures. Those who failed their duty then cannot now lecture the nation. Contesting ideas is welcome, but accountability must begin with those who had the chance — and did nothing.

Yall gone hear me one day. Black turnout exceeded white turnout in Louisiana’s May election. Black voters are 31% of registered voters, but made up 34% of the people who showed up. I was on here every day telling y’all to vote because this is what happens when Black people participate at higher rates. We influence elections the same way we influence culture. Jeff Landry lost all 5 constitutional amendments. Even in Republican parishes, voters rejected his agenda. Never underestimate the power of informed, organized Black voters. And to be clear, this happened while Black folks are underfunded in this work in Louisiana. One thing the record will always show is, I did my part. Share if you care 🦾

What LoP Rahul Gandhi Ji has said about Election Commission of India is absolutely correct. We recently saw a BLO in Rajasthan threatening to take his life outside the DM office because he was being pressured by a BJP MLA to delete the names of 470 Muslim voters. In Kerala as well, the ECI deleted lakhs of voters without disclosing their names. The UDF had to approach the Supreme Court, and only after the Court’s intervention did the Election Commission agree to reveal the deleted names. Today, the ECI and the ED are acting like two arms of the BJP. In the BMC elections, the Congress party chose to fight alone. Our performance is not good, but we are rebuilding and strengthening our organisation for the future.

If RG Kar movement in #Bengal was a revolution then that revolution had an anthem - The Aar Kobe song composed, worded and sung by #ArijitSingh That same song is now being played by #BJP candidate from Beleghata Partha Choudhury for his own campaigning How and Why! That song never belonged to any party, Arijit Singh never dedicated that to any party but to people. Even if we play the song on our YouTube channel we get copyright notices. Then how can BJP use it as a copyright free content? I’ve tried to mind my business, but when Black peoples are being terrorized in my city, that’s my business. Tonight I went before the city council here in Baton Rouge to express my grievances against the government. Not everybody like when you speak the truth plainly, but I have learned that the truth stands against opinions and lies. So tell it. If what happened in the Brave Cave in Baton Rouge had happened to white women and men people would be in jail already. I have put a demand on the leaders I’ve gone out and asked people to support on this very platform. So I won’t be a hypocrite, I will challenge them the same way I did their predecessor when injustice was done to Black people. Advocacy is about consistency. It’s about moving the conversation even if it makes everyone uncomfortable. Too many of us care more about decorum than we do injustice. I have never and will never cease to speak truth to power. I’m going to always rise to speak for my people, especially when the leaders we’ve elected have been so silent. Arrest the cops, that’s what justice looks like. #WorkToDo #KeepPushing #RisingAlways
