Damn I love 2D games on the Sega Saturn

I will stand on the "Nanatsu Kaze no Shima Monogatari" hill forever. To me, it is the most beautiful looking 2D game I have ever seen and it sucks that it is a Saturn-exclusive and never released out of Japan. The last title from the Wander Project J devs.

There was a man named Bernie Stolar.. it was his fault. He didn't like 2D games.. he wanted more 3D games, and seen 2D as a thing of the past. He was an ignorant fool. He passed away not long ago.

nope! Mednafen and SSF usually works well for me as Saturn emulators :)

ANIMATIONS ARE SO GOOD

That's one of the stupidly expensive ones, even the Japanese disc. I think I have it on my flashcart Saturn but I've never tried it, definitely like the look of it tho.

never heard about it before today, I'm just browsing random Saturn games and download the ones that look cool lol. I've played three chapters so far and it's cool, some fun action-platforming with a bit of shoot'em up parts. apparently it's very short so might finish it tomorrow

Keio Flying Squadron 🩷 this is a true gem of a 2D platformer! I have it completely for my japanese Saturn. Got way back then when imported games still had normal prices and nobody wanted them because of the language.

That one is short but so, so sweet!

I'd love to see the Keio games get remasters like the Cotton games.

I love this game! ;0 I did a longplay stream of the japanese version last year.

I recently got to play this on actual hardware. I got hard walled at the sumo level because the difficulty spikes so hard out of nowhere lol. Love this franchise, and I wish that party game got translated.

Havent played Astal. Watched a bit of that game and honestly didnt especially look appealing to me idk :x But that game is pretty fun at least

I wanna play more Sega Saturn games but they are tough to emulate properly.

Mednafen works well, and you can dl Mednaffe if you want a more user-friendly interface with it
