These credits are also an Easter egg- it’s a reference to the title design of Rainer Fassbinder’s “World on a Wire,” which is about someone trapped in a computer simulation - reinforcing the idea that Quaid is actually still lost in the Ego Trip he paid for.

If the font in your credit sequence wasn't leaning 45 degrees and sharply angled with heavy shadowing, did you REALLY make a film between 1998 and 2004? ...oh, and Dragula. Gotta have Dragula playing somehow.

@alexandertyler This is getting me to think how fantastic the opening credit scene for Westworld was. They were cinematic masterpieces that were works of visual art with the perfect musical accompaniments. I'll always remember how captivated I was.

Fuck, this just gave me such a blast of nostalgia for when a movie could unironically kick so much ass even as it’s often downright silly. A flick like this could revel in its nuttiness because, crucially, all of the characters took it 100% seriously. This was their reality!

I listen to this (The Dream), The Mountain, and The Mutant often on Spotify. Great soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith
