I asked Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s office how exactly would ICE get a signed judicial warrant for illegal immigrants in the Fairfax County jail, like Abdul Jalloh, who is accused of murdering a Virginia mother. Spanberger’s office still has not responded. Earlier this week, Spanberger’s office said ICE should request a signed judicial warrant if they want Jalloh deported. Jonathan Fahey says that might sound reasonable, but isn’t reasonable, and that Spanberger is knowingly putting up roadblocks to prevent ICE from doing their job and deporting Jalloh, who has a lengthy violent criminal history. ICE says, “Section 287 of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides ICE officers the authority to arrest aliens without a judicial warrant. In fact, no judge in this country has the authority to issue a warrant for a civil immigration violation. Congress, by statute, vested this authorization solely to supervisory immigration officers. Local police officers don’t need a warrant when they encounter someone breaking the law in a public space, and the same holds true for ICE officers. Obstructing or otherwise interfering with an ICE arrest is a crime, and anyone involved may be subject to prosecution under federal law.”

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents tried to tell a building manager that a locked apartment building is not private property, in Minneapolis. In the video, the building manager asks a very simple question: Do you have a judicial warrant? The agent’s response? “This is not private property.” Which is a wild thing to say while standing outside a locked residential building you’re trying to get into. He keeps insisting she’s wrong. She doesn’t budge. She finally says, “You aren’t going to get in. I’m not opening the door without a warrant.” Another agent then asks if she can tell him whether the person on his phone is inside. She says, “No.” He then responds, “Can’t tell me that either? Want to keep your criminals in your building?” And she shuts that down by saying, “I want to keep my residents safe.” Which is the exact opposite of what ICE was doing. Because trying to pressure your way into private property, without a judicial warrant, is fishing. It’s hoping someone doesn’t know their rights. And do you know what they hope you don’t realize? If this person was actually some dangerous “worst of the worst” criminal, they love talking about, getting a judge to sign a warrant would be the easiest part of their day. Watch the video. You hear them scream “We have a warrant!” and then immediately smash the door in. No pause. No paperwork. No judge issued warrant. Then, in the video, a deputy is seen shaking hands with an ICE agent, after the arrest. And when the person filming questioned the legality of what just happened, another deputy shrugged, and said, “Isn’t being here illegally a crime?” Which… no. Being undocumented in the U.S. is not a criminal offense. But, besides that, instead of upholding the law, the sheriff just assumed… and potentially allowed a kidnapping to happen. The Public Defender’s office says no federal criminal charges have been identified, and the man was reportedly there for a deferred prosecution hearing. Earlier that same day, ICE also detained a woman, and a small child, outside the courthouse, which the Public Defender’s office called a clear violations of state law. In the video, the agents repeatedly insisted they had a warrant for the passenger, demanded he get out of the car, and threatened to tase him if he didn’t comply. But, when the passenger continued to ask to see the warrant, the agents suddenly asked for his ID. After running his identification, they decided to change the story… Agents then started asking the driver for their ID, despite admitting they did not know who they were dealing with. When questioned, one agent first claimed they had a warrant for the passenger, then admitted they were “writing it right now,” before finally acknowledging, “I thought it was you.” So, to break this all down… ICE agents threatened to tase someone over a warrant they didn’t have, for a person they hadn’t even identified. The Fourth Amendment exists for a reason. Government agents do not get to detain whoever they want, threaten force, demand identification from everyone present, and just figure out who they are dealing with later. Because that’s illegal. If ICE had a valid warrant, they should have been able to identify the subject of that warrant before threatening someone with a taser. And if they didn’t know who they were talking to… then what exactly was the legal basis for the detention, the threats, and the demands for identification? This is why people are outraged. And every time this behavior is excused, it sends the message that ICE agents can ignore constitutional rights, threaten innocent people, and walk away like nothing happened.

Two warnings is all they should get. If they refuse an order from a federal agent after that, they should be in cuffs and headed to a federal prison. This is getting ridiculous. Federal law already covers this. It is a crime to forcibly resist, impede, or interfere with an ICE officer doing his job, and that can mean up to a year in federal prison, or up to eight years if they use the car as a trap or put hands on him. Travis County still has not signed a 287(g) agreement with ICE, even though state law gave the sheriff until Dec. 1, 2026. Texas DPS troopers already have that authority, so ICE is working Austin streets while the county stalls.

🚨 "SECRET POLICE FORCE" - Governor Mikie Sherrill is LYING again, telling News12NJ that ICE is a "SECRET POLICE FORCE" who took an oath to a "President, not the Constitution." Not only is this EXTREMELY DANGEROUS rhetoric putting federal law enforcement at RISK, but also completely EMPTY of ACTION or TRUTH (as usual for Mrs. Sherrill.) Mrs. Sherrill will do NOTHING to stop the LEGAL enforcement of Immigration law because Under 8 U.S.C. § 1357 ICE officers CAN arrest someone in public without a warrant if they have reasonable belief that the person is in the U.S. illegally and is "likely to escape" before a warrant can be obtained. Mrs. Sherrill has a law degree, and knows this but she lies to YOU, the NJ Voter anyway. Interestingly enough, Leftists will defend illegal immigration by stating it is a CIVIL crime (which is true) yet since it is a CIVIL charge and not a CRIMINAL charge, that is what allows for these warrantless arrests to LEGALLY take place.
