Dancing not only keeps me feeling youthful, but it also serves as a great way to unwind. Music has a calming effect and acts as another form of therapy. I had the pleasure of meeting with Mash West Youth Chairman Cde Tapiwa Masenda. We're proud of the young men...

It's good to have such civil servants standing for the truth as is being done by Secretary Tafadzwa Muguti. ZACC and the ZRP are culpable for this confusion because they are conflicted in these matters and failed to enforce the law impartially. I wrote a lot about the corrupt deals in Mash West centred around Comm Nyazema, Minister Chombo who were colluding with the Chinese and yet nothing effective was done done. The fake investigation instituted involved a junior officer investigating his superior, which was very absurd and the absence of results justified the doubt we had. Mash West JOC is also compromised and consistently gave false reports which did not aid anything except adding more confusion and even getting me arrested wrongly for that matter as the Magistrate stated in Court. Now we have Prosecutors in Mash West being forced, by the ZRP, to pursue and continue with a case which is clearly dead in the water as we have all the necessary papers and approvals. EMA has been clear that they approved and recognised our rehabilitation project, the very same position alluded to by Sec Muguti in that audio. It's also unfortunate that various security arms of the state are complicit in the corruption in Mash West where they have been bullying EMA. EMA which is actually the custodian of these environmental issues and should be leading yet they repeatedly obstructed, undermined and relegated the same to the fringes as they advanced their corrupt initiatives. This is a practice that has the backing of even the Provincial Minister who gave the fake permits to dubious entities. I have advocated before that some of these Ministers should be investigated. Mash West Minister Chombo, Manicaland Minister Mugadza and Mash Central Minister of State should all be investigated. As for Secretary Muguti, much respect to a civil servant who has demonstrated great service to the country by standing up against such a corrupt cartel.

Yesterday I was invited to speak as a Guest Speaker at the Opening Plenary Session of the 15th Sitting of the Ghana International Model United Nations Conference Held at the Great Hall at the University of Ghana. As a former student of the University, a former student leader, the former Vice Chair for Political Affairs and presently the Cordinator for the Explore program of GIMUN, it was refreshing to be interacting with my peers once again and to share with them what my journey has been as a young leader. My conversation centred mainly around intentionality as youth and why that must be our driving force going forward as young people. I mentioned during my address that our youthful years represent a time of boundless energy, endless possibilities, and a blank canvas just waiting to be painted and for that matter, it is important for for us to see it not just as a stepping stone to adulthood but rather a vibrant landscape in itself teeming with varied lessons, experiences and opportunities that help in shaping who we eventually become. However, over the years, we seem to have letf that to chance, only waiting to reach the final chapters of our lives. So, in order for us to truly honour our youth and not leave our lives in the hands of chance, we need to be intentional about our youth and that will require we actively engaging with the present as well as asking ourselves critical questions like “what do I want to learn?” “Who do I want to become?” “What kind of impact do I want to make?” When we do that, we will nurture our curiosity, find our authentic voices, learn to lead with purpose and we will use our youthful energy to build a better world. Being intentional therefore requires us to approach the journey of life with purpose, awareness, and a desire to truly experience the richness of youth. It's about savouring the laughter of late-night conversations, the thrill of pushing boundaries, and the quiet joys of self-discovery. So, as young people, we must not let our youth be a mere prelude. We must own it, engage with it, and shape it into the masterpiece it deserves to be. We must embrace the uncertainties, cherish the experiences, and remember, the most fulfilling future will be built on an intentional present. Share your thoughts with me on how you're making your youth count. How are you being intentional about this precious time? Let's learn from each other and ensure that every chapter of our journey, not just the last, is etched with meaning and purpose. #EwuraAdamsKarim #youth #leadershiprenaissance #tellthem #intentionality #year2024
