Stream the full interview in our latest episode, "The Inflation Blame Game," only on @AppleTVPlus.

@AppleTVPlus It seems like some people have a blind spot when it comes to record corporate profits. They don’t want to admit that if companies stopped gouging customers and overpaying executives that it would lower inflation. It’s like profits are this sacred thing that can’t be touched.

@AppleTVPlus Love when Summers thought he got Jon in a gotcha trying to make Jon call out Apple, but Jon just goes “yup Apple is awful” and Larry is stunned it didn’t work. Props to guys like Stewart and John Oliver who are brave enough to call out their employers like this.

@AppleTVPlus Jesus Christ, Jon is so on point and nailing arrogant Larry Summers. Larry was so full of himself and thought just because he and Jon have a lot of money that he would win him over. Wrong Larry. Good job Jon.

@AppleTVPlus Blatant corporate favoritism. The sad thing is that everything he said just made it worse. His arguments may have been believable 15 years ago, but the pandemic pulled back the curtain enough to where the average person will no longer buy into that economic hogwash.

@AppleTVPlus Why is Jon so damn good at this?

@AppleTVPlus The 2008 recovery vs. Covid recovery is brilliant. 2008 all the stimulus & QE went to the top to "trickle down", leaving the working classes to struggle. 2020-2021 the majority of the stimulus went directly to the working class and the economy rebounded immediately. 1/

@AppleTVPlus “are you saying corporations got greedy?” I can’t even, with this guy….

@soledadobrien @AppleTVPlus Driving up the unemployment rate to bring down wages that are only now catching up to decades of underpayment is not inflation. We’re also short 3-5 million workers. We need more people to fill the 10.4 million open jobs we have! Larry is plain wrong!
