Layer Cake still feels like the unofficial Bond audition. Craig already had the swagger, the cool, and that slightly dangerous charm. Easy to see why Broccoli took notice.

and a 10/10 soundtrack! ...and OMG! Sienna Miller 🔥

LAYER CAKE rules. But it was Craig as the assassin in 1998's ELIZABETH that caught Barbara's attention. She'd had him tagged as Bond for years.

Layer cake is in my top 10!

Sienna Miller >>

I found Daniel Craig to be a boring bond. Casino Royal is good though.

Layer Cake SUPER underrated.

Sienna miller is beyond beautiful

Layer cake is a masterpiece

Jude Law cheated on this version of Sienna Miller by the way.

not everyone noticed this but The Duke's nephew Sidney (Sienna Miller's bf yeah right!) is Ben Whishaw who played Q during the Daniel Craig Bond era! 🤯

The best part of Layer Cake was Daniel Craig's Characters name, anyone remeber what it was ?

Outstanding movie! Very slick production.

Layer Cake was truly the perfect audition tape for him. That role showed he could handle action and swagger.

one of my all time favourite films..

@CanningTownLen

Does he complain about EVERY role he’s ever had

Layer Cake was awesome

Who’s the girl?

He sucked in Layer Cake. That movie was a huge disappointment anyway. Who cares? But then he went on to drive the Bond franchise into the ground. What a guy.

For an actor he never seems to like being an actor.

All good things to those who wait 🙌

I gotta watch this one for a third time. I love the genre & the cast, but thought layer cake was just a shit movie. 🤷♂️

Daniel Craig really walked into Layer Cake and accidentally unlocked the version of himself that would become James Bond. 😂🔥 Sometimes the role you almost don’t take ends up changing your entire career. From a reluctant gangster to 007 — what a trajectory. 🥶🍸

good movie 8/10

A banger of a movie

Craig kicking and screaming into Layer Cake then realizing it's pure fun? That movie was the real origin story for Bond. Absolute cinema.

A great film, well worth a watch.

He was decent in Road to Perdition as well.

That's a good post to read, thank you. Here's mine on few iconic Bond girls, they worth the hype as well 🧿

that movie is a total gem! his performance was spot on

They don't make movies like this anymore
