The consistent thing for all these organizations that are winning is you have consistency at the QB position & the HC position. If you look around most teams in the NFL, they would prefer having a CJ Stroud on their team.”

CJ Stroud’s superpower as a QB is throwing in-breakers. Digs, crossers, slants. Last year he was 1st league wide in success rate on in-breakers, tied for 1st with Jared Goff on EPA/play. Some of that has to do with Nico Collins on the receiving end— that’s also his superpower, catching those types of passes. It’s a phenomenal skillset & one that the Texans haven’t been able to lean into, get the most out of because of the lack of an efficient, explosive running game. If they’re able to draw linebackers up there’d be voids over the middle of the field, draw safeties up, they’d face single high coverage. The Texans run game needs to be better to get the most out of CJ Stroud.”

Manti Te’o says CJ Stroud is the most intriguing AFC QB in search of his first Super Bowl: “The narrative has always been ‘if he could just be average with that defense, they would win a Super Bowl.’ I don’t think people remember how this guy played his rookie year. If CJ Stroud can be a glimpse of that, put the crown on him, give him the Lombardi. You know what they’re getting on the defensive side of the ball, you know what they’re getting in David Montgomery. I lost my best friend back in 2019 from a heart attack. He had a generic heart condition. It’s sad that some #Texans fans shamed CJ for having an actual emotion when his best friend was lying there, not knowing the true extent of his injury. CJ Stroud eloquently talked about both his emotions and his faith in Jesus Christ. No matter what you think of CJ Stroud the football player (and I do think highly of him as a football player) you can not disparage him for the young man & leader that he already has become. He’s an actual role model and not just for children. #HTownMade 🙏🏽 Prayers for Tank 🙏🏽

CJ Stroud is my Lil Bro. I love him. He had an awful outing yesterday, but miss me with questioning his future. I believe his play cost the Texans defense a historic playoff run, but people are forgetting he’s gotten the Texans to the Divisional round 3 years straight. The Patriots defense is on a heater. Where was all of this talk about quarterback’s future when they shut dominated Justin Herbert last week? CJ has to do some soul searching, he needs to progress, but he’s the Texans’ guy.
