Darwinism does not provide a complete explanation of our origins. It does not explain the Big Bang, the original emergence of life, or the emergence of human consciousness. Given what we know now, pretending that it does amounts to the equivalent of a religious belief system!

The evolution of complex life and ultimately human consciousness is highly improbable. However, given the countless trillions of planets in the universe it has to happen sometimes, are we created or just lucky?

Except bacterial flagellum, insect metamorphosis, the removal of mutations over time from the genome etc. Lots of things Darwinian evolution cannot explain. I don't claim it to be God but putting all your eggs in one basket based off a theory a man came up with in the 1800s is not the smartest thing...

Darwinism was also the cornerstone of Albert Taylor Bledsoe’s argument in favor of slavery. Darwinism supports the idea that there are some who are more evolved than others, that those who are not as evolved need to be looked after by those who are more evolved. To me it seems like Darwinism has been the cause of more ignorance and harm to humanity than enlightenment.

I learned about evolution around the age of 9 and it absolutely changed my perspective and trajectory forever. My life was never the same. The level of joy/excitement that I felt the first time I saw Wartortle evolve into Blastoise is something I will never feel again. Worth it.

Darwinism completely cast out the role of God in Creation. Darwinism is an example of secularism/atheism running amok. It’s a highly sophisticated theory on the evolution of species, but it definitely doesn’t have the final say on the subject of evolution of species.
