Everyone's building AI agents that run on someone else's server, store memory in someone else's database, and can be shut down by someone else's terms of service. I built one that can't be. FlowClaw is an AI agent that runs on a decentralized distributed computer. Your agent, your conversations, your memory, your tools — all stored onchain on Flow, a distributed network of validator nodes across the world. Not a centralized cloud. Not someone's S3 bucket. A blockchain that functions as censorship-resistant compute and storage for your AI. This isn't a wrapper. Your agent is a Resource — a first-class programmable object in Cadence (Flow's smart contract language) that physically lives in your account's on-chain storage. It can't be duplicated, seized, or deleted by anyone except you. Your encrypted messages, your cognitive memory, your scheduled tasks — they persist on a global distributed ledger that no single entity controls. It's an alpha build. It will break. But it works today on mainnet and I want people to push it this weekend. What it does: You go to authenticate with a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID), and you have a blockchain account in seconds. 🤯 Building computer-vision applications is never going to be the same again. As Andrej Karpathy says, "English is going to be the new programming-language", and we just made that happen for programming visual AI. 👨‍💻 This past month, the VLM Run team cooked up something magical that I'm especially proud of - a natural-language interface to build and run computer vision workflows (object-detection, OCR, parsing, and so much more) – all via our new VLM Run MCP server. 🔌 It works with any MCP-compatible AI agent (Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, etc.) and abstracts complex visual workflows into simple English commands. Google open-sourced MCP Toolbox for Databases. I gave it access to everything else. For context, Google's MCP Toolbox for Databases is an open-source server that lets AI agents securely query structured databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL through the MCP protocol However, most enterprise knowledge doesn't actually live in databases. It's scattered across emails, Slack threads, GitHub repos, Salesforce records, customer reviews, and internal docs. So Agents can't see any of it, which means they're working with a fraction of the context they need. I fixed that using MindsDB. It acts as a universal SQL layer that sits on top of all your data sources: structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. This means you can query Salesforce, Gmail, GitHub, S3 files, Jira, and 200+ more sources using SQL syntax. The clever part is how it connects to the MCP Toolbox. MindsDB exposes everything through MySQL, so from the Agent's perspective, it's just running SQL and getting context back. It doesn't know or care that the data came from five different sources behind the scenes. This setup unlocks some powerful capabilities: → One SQL interface for dozens of enterprise sources → Cross-datasource joins (combine GitHub and CRM data in a single query) → Built-in ML capabilities for working with unstructured data → Simple MCP tools that now have massively expanded reach In the video below, the Agent queries GitHub data and a customer review database in one SQL query. So what used to require ETL pipelines and weeks of engineering effort now happens instantly. At the end of the day, AI agents are only as useful as the data they can access. Here's an example of a custom sales assistant agent uses Box as a knowledge source for accessing enterprise content securely to answer questions and generate new content on the fly. The workflows can obviously vastly far more complex as the agent can use any of the tools within Box available via MCP and CLI. This precisely what agents will start to look like for knowledge work.
