@watilo You need to have a seminar with journalists from DailyWire, Breitbart, Fox, Wash Examiner, NYP, etc, and talk them through the tool and how they can find stories from it. The work is great, but there's no end product for normies to read about over breakfast.

I believe you expend this effort because you believe that a more informed society is a more empowered society and I'm sure you're absolutley correct. Perahps if you (or someone in your stead) could explain what the usefulness of this is for us laypersons it would help the empowerment. It's like reading a calculus book, we all can read it but few will understand it and even fewer will ever apply it.

anyone who thinks I'm in favor of the push for anti privacy measures like facial scans and digital ID, I've made it clear from the beginning that I'm against them. The Roblox Corporation's over reliance on these technologies is part of the reason why their safety problem is as bad as it is. In my latest video, not only do I criticize their recent AI safety updates, I show how their company has been influencing politicians to support these measures for years (even prior to my c&d). Roblox has one of the lowest moderator to user ratios of any company their size. They have the resources to hire humans, but they'd rather lower their safety spending and put money towards stock buybacks and "real time dreaming" (their term for AI generated games). If they truly prioritize the safety of their users, they should prove it by investing in the human capital needed to track how predators bypass their systems and exploit their most vulnerable players.

Look at the hysterical anti-AI comments in this thread from people who have never animated a day in their life. They claim AI "undercuts artists" and "steals from real animators." As a real animator who has been animating for 20 years, AI is simply the equivalent of getting a budget and a studio. Especially as one who has been blacklisted from the industry, AI is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. "Independent animators are the only artists who are expected to do the jobs of hundreds of people." Did Disney, Bakshi, or Judge stop being artists/animators because they got a studio, and didn't animate every single frame of their films by themselves? The answer from these commenters would be "ofcourse not." So why is it any different when a head animator uses AI to do all the laborious bitchwork instead of poorly paid Koreans? If a director ceases to be an artist because they use AI, then that means a director ceases to be an artist because they use a studio, and only the studio of poorly paid Koreans doing tedious repetitive bitchwork would be considered the Real Artists. Obviously, this is absurd logic. I still have seen no one refute this, and I would like to see some of the people in this thread try.

Our AI in Design case study featuring Linear is live! A couple things stood out to me right away as we were talking to Karri Saarinen and team about how they use AI in their flow - 1. They go waaay deeper with AI before doing any work that most teams would categorize as “design” though they rightfully see it as a key part of the design process. This means asking AI for info on how a UI came to be, who has worked on it historically, why a certain change might work or not, etc. They really use AI to deeply understand the problem they’re about to tackle. 2. The way they use AI within Linear gives them a crazy advantage. Imagine asking something like: “What designer has touched this feature in the last 5 years and why does it work the way it does?” Good luck getting a good answer for this at most companies. At Linear they have all that context IN Linear… it’s a huge advantage they have and one they utilize to no end. This approach is an incredible way to save unnecessary iterations and ensure you’re building a product that’s moving the company in the right direction. Some of us have been working and thinking about AI, started before most in AI today were born. To them they absolutely believe they have a lock of the dystopian fear. The saw too many Hollywood movies. I first say the VHS in the 1980s and the opening dialog never left me. The value of experience is it allows you to understand the way of things before the inexperienced can put their shoes on. Another example to learn in this video is Japan was the center of the universe. There was largess and I dare say arrogance. They absolutely were convince they would control AI via the government. It did not work out that way, like it ALWAYS does not work out that way. Each generation has to learn the hard lessons that should be obvious. A renegade group in Canada no one cared about to the thread all others dropped and you have AI today because of it. They were the last group to have been seen by the industry to have produced anything. Today the same playbook is being implemented by the largest AI companies full of zero experience and begging for big daddy government to save us from their scary monster. We turn the lights and show it is just some shadows. The entry prediction is accurate already, yet the world did not end. Watch this and see how really immature so many leaders are acting. Who will save us, millions of open source AI developers making thousands of AI models. And inventing the stuff the central controlled commissars never could have thought of. This is always the way it is. It is not “different” this time. They are too immature to know. Give them grace. Now you know better. Now you know. Speak up.

I've started a nonprofit, GuardRailNow, and I need your help. Our approach is unique: I do not come from tech. I cannot write code. I do not live in SF. I am not an EA. I am not a rationalist. I have never been to Silicon Valley. I'm a dad in Baltimore talking about AI extinction risk to other people like me. AI Safety loves selling Bibles outside churches, preaching to the choir. It's easy to talk to people who are like you. It's much harder to talk with people who are very different than you. So why would AI safety people, who are from/in the SF bubble, who use EA/rationalist speech patterns and thought, think they are in any way the right people to bring the message to everyone else?? They are not. If AI Safety wants to get regular people on their side here's a hint: get out of the way. You are the problem. You do not act or talk or think in ways that connect with everyone else. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. But our lives are on the line. Get over it and pass the ball to people like me.

Two months ago on Core Memory, Sam Altman called out Anthropic's "fear based marketing" (wrt mythos/Fable) and their intent to gatekeep AI This week alone, Dario has gone on record repeatedly about wanting to slow AI progress Anthropic silently degraded AI-research queries to Fable (they changed course on this, but they still thought it was a good idea) And now that the government is taking them at their word, they're trying to drag GPT-5.5 and OpenAI down with them Yes, the administration is being heavy-handed, but unfortunatley it's the logical end of telling everyone you built a "nuke" and that it's possible for people to use it against us All I'll say is I think it's possible for an institution to both be filled with good people and misaligned. It's not mutually exclusive Sam saw this in April.

My upcoming release of "Cinematic AI" has made me think about how bodies of work are formed. I think some are manifested and some are revealed. I think "Cinematic AI" falls into the latter category. It was not something I had a clear vision for and then created, but it was something that was revealed to me over time. I thought I saw a glimmer of it early on, but only after some time had past, could I see the body of work emerge. With a bit more context and watching great artists and how they work and think, it finally came to me that this series of 15-20 pieces that I had created could be a worthy collection to mint. AI art has been going through so many transformations from the early GAN work to Collaborative AI to now AI being widely accessible through platforms like MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, and many others. But one area that I have seen explode in recent months is cinematic AI. I distinguish this from animated AI, which has been around for a while, but cinematic AI is where the movements created by AI are getting closer to what you'd see in a movie or captured on a video camera. It still has a long way to go but it is getting more real than surreal as the technology develops. And this is where I seem to have found my groove, my home, my little corner in the artistic landscape. After Runway launched their image-to-video tool, it just blew my mind and I went down a deep rabbit hole and have created a new cinematic AI piece almost every other day for the past few months. I initially saw many of these pieces as just experiments, but with some time to reflect, I am seeing them as having the potential of being relevant pieces of artwork to mark this time in the development of AI. In some cases, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to create a similar piece again, since the tools I use are not in my control, but in the control of the AI platforms, who are constantly improving and evolving the tools. Given all of this, there is no better way to mark my place in time than on the blockchain. I truly believe that this body of work has the potential to be an important artifact of this era in AI and AI art. It is always hard to judge ones own work, but what I can do is permanently etch in time on an immutable public database saying that I created this. Only time will tell if the work has any value or is of any significance, but who created it and what was created cannot be disputed. I hope this gives you and especially collectors some perspective on the work I'll be releasing next week. I'm still very early in my artistic journey, but hopefully some of you will see promise in what I'm doing and maybe even put in a early bet on my art practice by bidding on a piece next week. Postman is going all-in on AI! Their AI Agent Builder is live (and it's pretty powerful!) Postman's API Network has 100,000+ APIs and they just released a suite of tools for building AI Agents that can automatically discover and connect to any of these APIs. Think about it for a second: You can now build an AI agent that searches the network, discovers an API, processes its documentation, connects to it, and evaluates whether everything worked at the end of the process. This is a huge deal. Every person I know uses the Postman client to work with APIs. Now, they will have access to the AI Agent Builder, a complete suite for designing, building, testing, and deploying agents. I've built a few simple agents myself, and it's tough. The ability to discover and use an API automatically is really exciting (and a huge time saver if it works as promised!) In collaboration with the Postman team, who is sponsoring this post, I recorded a video with my thoughts about the Postman AI Agent Builder.
