This group of friends were going for an outing in the city, when they finally found a place to park they see it’s $40 but decided to just go ahead and pay it at that point. When they got back they see that their car had a boot on it and they are claiming they went over their parking time limit. Turns out the parking a lot workers have a deal with the boot company, they had the boot company pilot the boot on other peoples cars too so they can make money. As soon as she threatens to call the police, he claims go ahead we have a cop here too, but they hurry up and take the boot off. Was this a scam all along, or did nobody bother to ask if there was a time limit on parking?

I’ve only been to a country club once and it was a blast. You see, I went there knowing I was about to be ripped off. The beer cart woman was super cool and we drank all day long. I’m not much of a golfer, I just was never good at it but at the time I was a great drinker. This gentleman ordered a Fireball single expecting it to be supermarket prices and was giving her a hard time because it was $9. She’s right you know, she didn’t make the price but she shouldn’t have lowered it either, cheap people will then expect it. I remember telling all of you about the pizza shop, sometimes people going there with money, just not enough of it. This man was coming home from the amusement park and walked into the shop, he said I have a car full of kids, about 6 people total and all I have left is $15, what can you do for me? As a courtesy, I made him a half sheet of pica, loaded with toppings and gave it to him as a gesture of goodwill. We are part of the community and wanted to treat everyone as good neighbors. The problem with that was my good deed didn’t go unpunished because he came back a week later with the same story. I told him It was a one time deal to be cool and I couldn’t do it again. He got mad and stormed off. He ended up calling corporate because I got a call on my cell about it. I told them what happened and they sided with me. They said gestures like that is good publicity and word of mouth creates good PR for the company. But cheap people with a sob story aren’t good customers. Would you have done the same as I? I didn’t lose any sleep over it but I was wondering if I did the right thing.

These women rented an Airbnb, the owner of the home demanded a $500 security deposit. The women reluctantly agree and they ask the owner if they will get the money back after they leave. The women clarify, and ask him if they will get the full amount they put down and if it worked as a true security deposit. The owner said no, they would only get some of it back because he uses the security deposit he charges to pay for the utilities that they consume, mainly electricity and gas. The women feel like they are being scammed and only want to pay for the day they were in it instead of an extended visit as they originally planned.
