David Bowie talks about Yorkshiremen... This is absolutely sublime.

If I'm not mistaken, I think his son, @ManMadeMoon said this is one of the only interviews where you really see Bowie completely at ease and being himself . Parky had a great way of putting his guests at ease.

The World is a poorer place without Mr Bowie.

One of the only famous people who have died leaving a personal loss. The world being a much poorer place without. I suspect because he was continually creative and groundbreaking all the way through

A great man, much missed.

Wonderful. Is the whole interview accessible?

David’s Great Grandparents lived in Bramley, Leeds. His grandfather, Robert Jones. , has his name on the Cenotaph in Bramley Park, he died in WW1

Wow something I never knew! he's like me - a wars of the roses baby! Dad Yorks, Mum Lancs. Fab

What a legend. No more like him.

I like to think he was mostly Northern. Dad from Yorkshire, mum from Lancashire.
