David Cochrane, professional Libsplainer, never misses a chance Kate Harrison just finished explaining that slapping labour-law changes into a 243-page omnibus bill is a sloppy way to “stabilize” the investment climate when Carney could actually green-light the 12 projects sitting in the major-projects office, kill the industrial carbon tax,...

If you didn’t watch CBC for us very few would. It’s infuriating hearing about Cochrane’s full blown Liberal bias.

@DavidWCochrane’s shameless partisan Lib’splaining violates the CBC’s JSP principles of impartiality, balance, fairness and integrity. Will their newsroom editor @brodiefenlon do anything about it? Of course not, he’s part of the same Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’. #cdnpoli

Pretty sure they’ll get slapped by the labour and trades unions. Seems like the blue collar working man always pays for the Feds mistakes. Problem though, liberals decimated the middle class. Blue collar workers struggle to keep up to middle class standard of living as is. This is going backwards. This is socialism at its best.

I regularly send your clips into the Ombud at CBC. I could do this every day but I generally do about once a week.

David Cochrane is as neutral as Switzerland was during WW2. It has been proven that The Swiss aided Germany even more than would be expected if they had been an actual ally. David Cochrane is more worse that that.

Someone needs to push David Cochrane around. Bully him. He’s such a little prick. He’s a liar, he’s scum, he’s that little rat kid you knew in school. He’s randall from recess but 1000x worse and more annoying

Liberals promised in 2015 to kill the omnibus trick. They called it undemocratic when Harper did it. Then the Liberal government buried a prosecution loophole in a budget bill. Then Liberals stuffed borders, cash rules, and law-waivers into “economy” and “security” binders. Now C-39 is 240 pages: one-year reviews in the same stack as the Labour Code. The Liberal House Leader says it is not an omnibus. The unions heard the strike clause. Same method as the big American packages: put the hard part where a single vote has to swallow the whole bag. Carney also built a new chair in the PMO and put an American Democratic operative in it. COO. U.S. stakeholder strategy. Clinton and Bloomberg shops on the résumé. That is not a conspiracy. That is the Liberal org chart. If Liberals wanted the country to see the labour change, it would be its own bill. If Carney wanted the country to see who runs the office, the hire would have been on the site the week it happened. Read the binder. Read the résumé. Kitchen table first. #cdnpoli

Carney pisses on Canadians, and the CBC (Cochrane) calls it rain.

Exactly what I said when I saw it!! Then they go in the house and blame everyone for voting against the bill. They don’t want to build anyway and need an excuse not too. They probably didn’t expect the opposition to vote for the bill that allows them to do all this to begin with. Is it C5?

Carney cannot polish the turd any further so he can only resort to throwing glitter on it. He is in the turd business. Turning Canada into an open sewer on all fronts as he takes his insider Royal Flush holdings offshore to his tax haven bolt hole.

CBC spent years platforming the climate-and-labour orthodoxy that helped elect Mark Carney. CBC cheered the win. CBC cheered the floor-crossings and byelections that delivered the majority. CBC cheered the committee stacking that shut the opposition down. Now the same CBC is discovering, via Janyce McGregor, that the opposition is mathematically irrelevant and the sky is falling on their preferred causes McGregor’s report is the tell. Environment and labour groups are calling C-39 the “bulldoze nature bill.” The Bloc, NDP and Greens together hold less than 10 percent of the House. Liberals have the majority on committee. Conservatives say they would go further, not less. The Canadian Labour Congress is already prepping a constitutional challenge over the right to strike. McGregor notes, almost as an afterthought, that there is no easy path to amend the bill. Majority government reality check This is the same CBC whose editor-in-chief, Brodie Fenlon, has spent years insisting the network does not take sides. Fenlon: “That’s not our role.” Journalists must come to the story “with an empty notebook.” The job is a 360-degree view so Canadians can form their own opinions. Impartiality is the bedrock Fenlon also wrote that the Journalistic Standards and Practices “can and will evolve” after staff complained impartiality rules were distorting coverage of anti-Black racism. CBC climate journalism took sides and remains “a top priority.” CBC “does not itself designate” groups as terrorists. And in promotional videos he tells Canadians they never have to wonder what is real or fake if it comes from CBC News The pattern is not subtle. When the political project aligned with CBC newsroom’s priors, coverage treated process as progress. When the same majority now accelerates project reviews, creates “regions of national interest,” shortens consultations, and tightens federal labour rules so strikes can be ended for economic impact, the tone flips to alarm. The activists who were useful on the way up are suddenly the ones being “gaslit” Canadians can see the sequence. They watched the cheering. They watched the majority assembled. They watched the committees restructured. They are now watching the same CBC act shocked that a majority government is using its majority. And that is not an empty notebook. That is a newsroom that got the outcome it wanted... and is only now discovering the bill of sale Brodie Fenlon
