Nice clip, agree. I am starting to find, at least with codex so far, copyright protection is showing up in the terminal. I literally watched codex get stuck in a loop from music that I made myself, trying to figure out if it was copy right protected, on MY DIME. If those tokens and processes are offloaded, thats one thing, but now your burning my limits on copyright? It also starting to FUD Claude when I tried to make codex the orchastrator, telling me claude is insecure and im like.... brother your doing the same things! Then it started blocking claude artifact links. Open source is the way.

Yeah I will say this open source still 6 months behind frontier but in a year I can see this being the tipping point where open source is now just that good it’s like why pay $100 a month? If you can just buy a Mac book and run your local agent on it or a Linux built laptop for equivalent spec.

Saying "NO AI data centers" won't end in victory. They'll just build them anyways. If you truly want to make a difference, you need to say, "No data centers, UNLESS..." Turn it into a negotiation instead of a war, so we can fight over what really matters. No data centers UNLESS they're not draining our energy. In fact, you could say, "you want 10 gigawatts of power? Ok, YOU pay for it. And because we’re allowing you to do it, you have to produce 15 gigawatts of power and give the excess to the grid." It's a win-win and YOU control the terms.

But that doesn't mean I agree with everything Sanders says, especially his proposal to imprison AI developers for 20 years if they develop systems smarter than a government-set threshold. Nothing in that declaration says "don't build it." It asks for human control, an off-switch, independent oversight, and zero legal personhood for any machine ever. It just hands the entire future over to China, where nobody but the Chinese Communist Party leads the charge. We have to build to beat China. But we also need data centers that sit under American law with an off-switch, a sheriff, and a physical door for a human inspector to walk through. There are 470 in China. We've already won the AI war. My grandfather was a computer science major at Florida Atlantic University about 30 minutes south of here in Boca. And he would tell you that in the 1970s and 80s, computers were the size of Costco warehouses and now those same computers fit in our pocket. Why are we building an AI data center that in five years is going to be obsolete, is going to be one one hundredth of the size. And so I fear it's because a lot of the big land developers want to buy up cheap land, flip it for the next AI data center. So it's a greedy thing. It's a greed thing. And I don't want that to happen in our state because you know what? If you buy something and you screw up, you can return it. You could sell it. If you pave over citrus groves or the Everglades or a wetlands to build the data center, you cannot easily undo that. Well, you cannot attach the grid anymore. The Utah project contemplates bringing new power to Utah. All of the power will be created from nat gas pipeline that runs through there, and will give back to the community. It will generate enough power that some percentage of it will go back to the grid. If you want China to overtake our ability to develop cutting edge technology, you stop data centers. So that's the cause and effect of it all. If you want China to lead, take over our, let's call it democracy, our free speech, and the way we live with technology, just stop building data centers. It's that simple.

So if you look at what was attempted by Iran, it was to knock out the data centers in various countries in addition to energy. So what do you need to fight tomorrow's war? Let's, let's say the Chinese wanna take over Singapore. That's pure AI. You're gonna use drones. We know that already. They're very effective, low cost. You're gonna take out data centers, chip manufacturing. When you start to think about investing, and that's what I'm thinking about, I hate warfare obviously, but what does this tell me? The country with the most capacity for data centers and AI, is going to win the wars in the future.

There are some use cases that we have to be extremely careful about—as in all great technology. For example the computer until now has been programmable for about 30 million people in the world. About 30 million of us know how to program it and apply it to some useful career. Now everybody in the world can program an AI. You just go up to it and just say, 'I'd like to, you know, ask you to do something.' If you're not sure how to use AI, you tell the AI, 'I don't know how to use AI. Tell me how to use AI. How do I, how do I write a program? How do I book a trip? How do I do a research?'
