Ultimately, some might play the yield game. Some might blow up spectacularly. But a lot of the differentiation might be on-chain: yield, DeFi, and the utilization of Ethereum. I think the best case scenario is there’s healthy competition amongst a few of them to differentiate and use the chain in novel and interesting ways and become on-chain asset managers.” Ex-Co-Executive Director at the Ethereum Foundation Tomasz Stańczak builds on Danny’s point: “Many of them will be absolutely top-quality people with a great understanding of technology and vision for how to — in a smart way — use DeFi to generate returns and structure everything so that it’s perpetual and safe… and in general, I have massive respect for binging Ethereum to Wall Street and those who want to have exposure to Ethereum in a way that is compliant . . . You have ETFs, DATs, spot ETH, which bring together various ways of participating in and securing the network.
