🚨🚨🚨 David Sacks nails it. We already have laws that apply to super intelligence: laws covering cyberattacks, privacy violations, fraud, and product liability laws, among others. Even Biden's former FTC chair agrees. And now thanks to President Trump's Accord on Super Intelligence, these companies are committed to greater transparency...

@DavidSacks Sacks did a great job here, despite tendentious questioning and chirons.

@DavidSacks As with much of government, we already have law for... The political posturing is often nothing more than politicians wanting to appear to be addressing concerns (at the expense of time and our resources).

When his portfolio companies were the ones getting sued, @DavidSacks said "regulation by enforcement" was intolerable: crypto was too new, the old laws too unclear, Congress had to write new ones. Now it's superintelligence and public safety is on the line, and his plan is to lean on old laws, enforce product liability, sue companies after the harm. That's just regulation by enforcement with a new spin. If new guardrails were needed to protect his portfolio companies, the public deserves the same to protect their interests.

@DavidSacks Biggest mistake by big tech was calling this whole thing Artificial Intelligence. Should have just called it Advanced Computing (which it is) and no one would have given a shit.

@DavidSacks Greater transparency and auditing? Because everyone signed a vague, non-binding sheet of paper that spelled “United States” wrong? You guys did nothing to calm the public, if that was the goal of this circus
