At the base, there is a gate to hell, and the remnants of shrines and temples to pagan gods. BREAKING🚨: Heartbreaking news out of Memphis, Tennessee 😢 Police have recovered the remains of three young children, estimated to be between 3 and 7 years old, from a vacant field in the Hickory Hill area. Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis announced Wednesday that investigators found two skulls and 14 additional human bones. The discovery began with an anonymous caller reporting a possible human skull near a wooded area. During the search, a K-9 unit alerted officers to a nearby drainage pipe. A camera inspection on April 1 revealed a second skull inside the pipe, and the following day a more thorough search turned up the 14 additional bones. This is an active investigation with multiple agencies involved. Thoughts and prayers with the families and this community. 💔

I have some bittersweet news to share today – I’m stepping away from my role as head of product for Base. it’s been an incredible run – fun, challenging, rewarding. I extend sincere gratitude to Jesse, Brian, and Coinbase for the opportunity to lead product for base and contribute to the mission of increasing economic freedom in the world. we landed serious impact, becoming a top-3 chain and launching industry-leading builder tools 0 to 1. we grew from less than a billion dollars onchain to $16B and counting. 10x faster, 100x cheaper, with thousands of teams building apps, contributing everyday to solve real problems for real people. alongside my head of engineering partner aflock and others, we scaled the team from 1 pod / 1 work stream to 5 pods / 10+ work streams. we ran the biggest onchain buildathon to date with $2M in prizes, helping builders go from idea to app to business. and we actually literally circumnavigated the globe, connecting IRL with builders from Νew York to Nairobi to the Network School, from Bangalore to Bangkok, Singapore, Manilla, and back again. but it’s a new day, and after real reflection, I believe my highest point of contribution in tech lies elsewhere. what I’m looking for and what base is looking for have diverged, and that’s okay. The Visible Human Project, completed in 1995, aimed to create detailed 3D digital representations of the human body using cadavers of both a male and a female donor. This video shows a sequence through the top of the skull down to the base of the shoulders of the female donor, a 59-year-old woman from Maryland who died of heart disease. Each image in the sequence represents a 0.33 mm cryosection of the body. The cadaver was frozen and then embedded in gelatin to stabilize the tissues so anatomical detail could be preserved. The exposed surfaces were photographed at high resolution. The goal of the project was to create a comprehensive digital 3D representation of human anatomy to advance medical education, research, and clinical practice.

Last week was my last week at Coinbase 🛡️ and Base, and I'll be moving on to what's going to be a very exciting next chapter. This is both an announcement and a love letter to the entire Base team. 💌 It's hard to believe how much we packed into the last year and more. I traveled around APAC covering builders and their stories, built the Base India community from the ground up, worked with creator communities, and built AI-powered distribution systems and products that changed how we shipped content. I marketed Baseapp, backed builders and projects across the ecosystem, and tried to wear every hat in between. Somewhere in it all, I became a sharper and better version of myself. To everyone I have worked with across Base - thank you. jesse.base.eth Xen, thank you for being the most incredible leaders. And two people I have to thank on their own: Saumya Saxena and Ahaan Raizada - you're my day ones, my team, and somewhere along the way, far more than that. 4 DAY SHOOTING RESET: Day 1 This 4 day reset aims to help players slow down and reinforce their shot. It’s really helpful for Great Shooters that love to be detailed, but also if you aren’t a great shooter to help you build your foundation. Day 1 is about finding our stance (load position) and feeling the sequencing of our shot. The Load Position is the foundation of our shot. A players understanding and feel for their stance is HUGE. Drill 1: Load Position Shooting - Find your stance and start in Load Position, take a breath, lift and shoot with normal pace. We look for straight lift and high follow through on this. Drill 2: 1 Foot Drops - this works on finding our base on the drop, and timing in to lift / shot. Drill 3: 1 Foot Drops w/ Dribble- Add in dribble to work on finding base, ball transfer to shooting hand, timing for shooting off the dribble. SCORING: ONLY COUNT CLEAN MAKES (Swish or hit rim once). For each drill, make 10 from 15’ and 10 from 3. Change Distance and Angle for each shot for variability.

One of the toughest parts of being a founder is putting your ideas into the world, seeing if anyone cares (usually they don't - or worse, are rooting against you), and then seeing if you can actually pull it off (usually way more setbacks along the way than you thought!). You have to: (1) develop thick skin and find a way to ignore the haters (2) still take advice from people who have your best interests at heart (3) have the wisdom to know the difference Then move from one setback to the next with no loss of enthusiasm for longer than you thought. Be borderline delusional, get after it every day for a decade, and turn out to be right. Finally, when your tenth or hundredth approach to a problem doesn't work, just keep coming up with more ideas. Had a great day at Base Batches yesterday, meeting founders building on Base and hearing about the latest onchain innovations. Shout out to all the founders!

❌No-no! Playoff no-hitter from sophomore Jake Jenkins (Jake Jenkins). The LHP was outstanding tonight, racked up 🔟 strikeouts to give Legacy the Game 1 victory. Pounded the zone with a heavy fastball and was able to throw his breaking ball and changeup in any count for a strike. Finished the game only allowing two base runners via a BB and HBP.
