Day 13 Update - Aida the browser AI assistant. Aida can now think and execute plans - watch it scrape the current tab for all video titles on Rahul Mathur's Breakdown channel and save it as a txt file. I cant believe this guy just made a permanent solution to context bloat and open sourced it all! when we tested this tool (Context+) for solving an issue on the OpenCode repository, the agent using this tool used ~6.5k fewer tokens, found the code and fixed it in half the time! the results were surprising: 6 to 10k tokens saved per prompt, completed task in ~2 minutes while the agent running without the tool took ~4 mins for the same and got stuck in loops bro built an entire beast by using all the modern tools that we could think of: undo trees, semantic search by meaning (by haskellforall), advanced refactoring, blast radius, advanced file context trees, restore points... i can keep going on semantic code search and context trees are the future of agentic coding and this tool proves it the feature i loved the most is semantic search and how it gets things done 2x faster with least possible tokens it makes an agent that actually knows what it’s doing and not just guessing, it makes meaning from your code similar to RAG. if you aren't optimizing your context, you are just burning money the developer says this tool is still under development, it can have unexpected behavior and the docs need updates but the video shows the reality of how fast it can be github: get here:

In an era when you can do everything, the question is which of these things matter. On the engineer side, it is evaluating the code. Which of this code is even valuable? You can have AI engineers writing beautiful code that could be wrong, that could have bugs in it, that could be vulnerable. Someone needs to review it. Make sure to have a human review at some point, especially critical code that is in the core of your system. On the product side is judgment around what needs to be built and evaluating. And similarly in design, you have to have judgment around, does it make sense in the broader design system. I think this judgment is the number one thing that humans are going to bring in an era of infinite productivity."

I've been showing the output of my flight reconstruction tool for a while and I wanted to share something like it which wasn't a mess of hand tuned stuff that required X-Plane. So I created a completely new version in javascript that runs in an HTML page so that anyone can use it. The output is a KML file which is a tour that works in Google Earth pro with all the attitude information included. This is a long way from perfect, I messed around with multiple smoothing algorithms and none of them compares well with the python code, but they're readable and understandable for anyone.

Karpathy said something you'll regret ignoring: "We have to keep the AI on the leash. I'm still the bottleneck. I have to make sure this thing isn't introducing bugs and that there's no security issues." He said it at YC talk last year, when the worry was reliability. The models hallucinated and made mistakes no human would, so the leash implied keeping yourself in the loop and checking the output before trusting it. The models are far better now, and the line still holds, for a reason he was not focused on back then. Even a model that writes flawless code today still has no idea who is allowed to run it. Correctness and authorization are different problems, and only correctness improves as the model improves. A perfect agent still hands a tool where anyone can do anything, because permission was never part of the task. I actually tested this in practice with Claude Code. I asked it to build a small internal tool with a button that issues account credits. It worked first try, and running it locally, the credit applied the instant I clicked. Nothing decided who was allowed to click it. The agent wrote the right logic and displayed a success notification. It never checked whether the caller had the right, whether it should pause for a human, or whether anything was logged. And this is not a bug a smarter model can outgrow because the leash was never in the code. Identity, permissions, and audit live in the system that runs the app, not in what the agent generates. To solve this, I took the exact same bundle and hosted it on Retool. The credit write that fired silently on my laptop now stopped at an approval gate, resolved to a real identity through SSO, and landed in an audit log. I wrote none of it. The app inherited the entire boundary the moment it was deployed, and the video shows the before and after. He builds a program that does real calculus -- not by crunching numbers, but by reading the math as a list and transforming it piece by piece. Then he shows the trick hiding under all of it: in this language, code and data are the same material. My favorite way of interacting with Claude Code is to have it generate static HTML files as outputs (reports, explorations, code structure, mockups etc.) I wanted to iterate on the file by commenting in browser and having Claude update the output live. So, I built this Claude Skill👇 How it works: - Install Claude Code skill (ask it to clone repo) - Build an HTML page for anything (e.g. research coding agents and generate HTML report) - Ask it to make the page interactive That's it. CC will launch a localhost server and allow you to then leave comments on the page itself and once it updates, will give you a tour of changes. It's like Google Docs kind of comments/iteration but for HTML pages.
