Congress Government's proposal of building tunnel roads displays the tunnel vision of the State Government. Across the world, experience has shown that building more roads has never solved traffic congestion. The only way to solve traffic congestion in cities is by increasing mass rapid transport systems like the metro. The State Government must invest Rs. 50,000 crore on mass rail connectivity in the city & not waste it on tunnel roads.

Let them return impressed, not disappointed. We are only asking for 10 kilometres as we know it’s too much to ask of you to fix all roads in the city. If roads can be repaired overnight for VIP movement, surely they can be repaired in two weeks for the common people of Bengaluru. Give us a safe race.
