Dead Internet Theory is now a reality fill with AI slop

AI is getting good. Some content creators are getting 100 million views on TikTok with AI generated content. I don’t think people realize that the “slop” is beginning to get to the point that it’s entertaining- that means money. That means higher quality. That means MORE content. If absolute human -generated slop like IKEA Heights can become popular… then AI content is going to as well. The best part is that there’s going to absolutely be amazing quality content that no one will deny is good.

The dead internet theory is alive and well. I think it’s like 100:1 in terms of bots to human users. The endless, mindless murmur of LLMs in the comments section of the click bait/rage bait, etc. It’s never ending now with all the AI powered tools. Absolutely insane devolution of the value of the time spent on this app since the glorious takeover in the fall of 2022. Dovetailed with the gross contortion of monetization incentives, the regretted user minutes continue to grow each month. The timeline and the collective algorithmic mind are both sick. They’ve been hijacked and co-opted. Make X Great Again! Purge the bots and remove the irreparably broken monetization program. @elonmusk
