Dead or Alive 4 doesn’t punish you for learning the basics, but if you want to go full pro and master certain characters, it goes wild

DOA has always gotten too much sh!t for the lack of depth. The Hold System is absolutely brilliant when you master it. This series absolutely deserve to stand next to Tekken.

I hope we could get back to such a glorious time of gaming again, at least within our lifetime.

I miss DOA4. I got really good at the game cause of my ex. She taught me a lot back then. Good times.

I wish we could get a re-release, wait, no I don't. I don't trust Koei-Tecmo anymore.

Problem is tecmo/team ninja got overly greedy with this IP and monetizing it bad with costume dlcs, character dlcs, etc. Even that new extreme volleyball game is monetized. DOA4 was literally the last good game of this IP before they went full GREED! Same with DOAX2.

I wonder if they will make another DOA as a fighting game. Team Ninja seems invested in a new direction under Yasuda with more mainstream projects. That's a shame because DOA and Ninja Gaiden could shine in the current state of the market, and were the backbone of this studio
