I’m a Thamizhian. I know Lord Sri Ram but I don’t know this lady Jothimani and once she’s dead and gone, nobody will remember her. But even then, the name of Lord Ram will be etched forever till humanity will live.

Most Tamilian has had at least two Hindu Gods in their name. Start from Ram, Krishnan, Murugan, Shiva etc

Do Tamils know Sri Rama? This is like asking if the brain is aware of the heart that's literally pumping the blood needed for it to live. Yes, Tamils not only know Sri Rama, but revere him, worship him as one of ours. He spent a considerable amount of time in Thamizhagam, walking through its lands making it sacred in the process. Every temple at Rameshwaram has a story to narrate from Ramayana. It was from TN that Sri Rama crossed over to Lanka. The great Cholas considered themselves Suryavanshies, and their copper plates register their lineage with that of Ikshvaku and Sri Rama. These politicians and their wilful ignorance is not representative of Tamils.
