DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is great at tutorial-style motion videos. We made this with the model using OpenDesign Motion: a quick guide to using the OpenDesign API in other coding agents to access DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 and more models.

GLM 5.3 Flash vs DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 Can't believe we're abusing gummy bears to test models, but here we are! Both models were run locally. - GLM 5.3 Flash: my own EXL3 quant (link below) - DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017: official quant - Same harness. Both on Max effort. Who won?

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 is the first open-weight model I've tried that feels this fucking close to Opus at Blender + Three.js. It made this video 👇

deepseek v4.1 flash 1017 just mogged opus 5.5 and it was 32x cheaper: deepseek: $0.31 opus 5.5: ~$10 with the right harness and a few iterations, ds4.1 flash is a model you can actually use every day

first look at DeepSeek V4.1 Flash-1017 on a massive medieval voxel world. tested it through deepseek harness using the api on max reasoning with a pretty challenging prompt. > over 2 million voxels in a single file > took around 25 minutes > cost about $5 in api usage the v4.1 flash upgrade is looking good so far. I’ll see how it holds up on other tests what do you guys think, cook or nah?

what the fuck. deepseek-v4.1-flash-1017 is the best upgrade i’ve seen so far gave both models the exact same prompt. 1017 absolutely mogged the old flash and it’s just as fast and just as pleasant to use as before. they cooked so bad 🔥

i just compared DeepSeek-v4.1-Flash against Opus 5 gave same prompt to both models to build ocean sandbox using three.js DeepSeek-v4.1-Flash was almost 90% cheaper and 50% faster than Opus 5 💀 maybe the benchmarks are not broken.. do you think DeepSeek is better?

DeepSeek Deepseek-v4.1-flash-v2 coming 👀!! I'm more convinced something has changed behind the deepseek-platform api. The "deepseek-flash" endpoint seems to be routing to a different model now. It could be: - Deepseek-v4.2-flash - An updated checkpoint of v4.1-flash Since it's also a little slower, i wonder if V4.1-pro is being quietly tested behind the endpoint. But either way, i'm getting way better result, the difference is noticeable. See the comparison video, same prompt, same settings.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 vs Haiku 5.5 vs MiniMax M3.1 Flash vs Muse Spark 1.3 You guys loved the Alpine benchmark with the frontier models, so here it is with the budget models. 🛩️ Honestly, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 blew me away. 🤯 It's 14x cheaper than Haiku and almost 3x faster, and it gave the best result of the four. MiniMax is right behind, and even cheaper at 23 cents. And Muse Spark did it for free! What do you guys think? 👀

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 vs GPT 6.1 Sol I tested this rocket launch scene and DeepSeek absolutely cooked with this model. DeepSeek : $0.78, 3 mins GPT 6.1 Sol: $6.10, 5 mins Nearly 8x cheaper than Sol, and faster too. This thing is a beast.
