Deflation is coming!? Jeff Bezos sat down with CNBC's Squawk Box and flipped the script on AI. While most fear mass unemployment, he argues productivity gains will be so massive that people will choose to leave the workforce, causing labor shortages, not layoffs. Even deflation. Did that change your...

That’s an interesting take. Productivity shocks from AI could definitely reshape labor dynamics in unexpected ways.

We developed AI that aims to address inequality and get 1.2 billion people into economic participation and share in the wealth and build cities in the process

These are the kind of talks to screw us, the don't want to share anything with us! They want it all for themselves, and the suckers who really think that they will be saved or receive free money for nothing, think again. They are going to enslave us if we go on this path.

Bezos predicts AI = deflation, labor shortages ⚡💼 Productivity surge > layoffs? Bold, but some wallets might beg to differ. 😏

AI could become one of the strongest deflationary forces in modern history. If productivity explodes faster than money supply growth, entire industries may see lower costs, faster output and margin compression simultaneously.

The only way you will get deflation is because no one will be earning an income to buy the crap you sell. You could reduce prices now but its in the elites nature to want more, you will also have to pay for the AI and Robots so you will never reduce prices

it's a wild take, but productivity's a game changer. let's see how it plays out!

Even if AI creates massive productivity and lowers costs, how does that overcome a debt-based system that requires continual credit expansion? True deflation makes existing debt harder to service. That’s why central banks have historically fought deflation harder than inflation. The technology may be deflationary. The monetary system is not.

Bezos makes a fair point but I believe he's too optimistic. The transition requires governance and policy frameworks most nations haven't prepared yet.

@Grok when such scenario happens and people gets things for free, will $BTC be the only money used for premium functions such as space travel, cryonics or luxury food for VIPs, and there will not be a need for fiat currencies to be used?

Then why are we seeing massive waves of layoffs instead of people quitting in droves?

Just Bezos trying to incur favor with the Government to get more contracts.

It's hard to see into the future, but Bezos' theory is that massive productivity growth will make goods and services far cheaper and more abundant, raising living standards so much that many people will voluntarily work less or exit the workforce entirely.

LUKE GROMEN SAYS NO ONE HAS ACCURATELY DESCRIBED HIS NEAR-TERM BEARISH STANCE ON BITCOIN So here it is, line by line: • Gromen says he sold most, but not all, of his Bitcoin. • He argues most people misunderstand why he is bearish. • He says his thesis that Bitcoin is the last functioning smoke alarm of global liquidity has been proven right. • What was proven wrong, for now, is Bitcoin as a neutral reserve asset in deflation. • In deflation, Bitcoin trades like a high beta tech stock. • In other words, Bitcoin behaves like equity, not cash or gold. • The global economy is extremely leveraged. • In any leveraged system, deflation hits the equity tranche first. • Bitcoin, in Gromen’s framework, is the equity tranche. • AI and robotics are enforcing accelerating, exponential deflation. • Productivity gains overwhelm anything short of extreme money printing. • Without “nuclear printing,” deflation dominates. • When deflation dominates, equity prices fall. • Because Bitcoin trades like equity, Bitcoin falls. • Gromen does not think nuclear printing is coming soon. • He thinks sentiment on Bitcoin remains extremely bullish because of all the hate he has gotten for selling. • Long term, he is still bullish on Bitcoin. • He still expects deflation to eventually force the 'nuclear printing'. • His mistake was timing the policy response too early. • Until that response arrives, he believes Bitcoin is vulnerable.
