The DRDO has successfully conducted three successive flight trials of Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. These tests were carried out to revalidate the capability of VSHORADS missile system in neutralizing high speed threats flying at varying speed, range and altitude.

The DRDO has successfully conducted three successive flight trials of Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. A new generation of Man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (MP-AUVs) have been indigenously designed and developed by the NSTL in collaboration with other labs NPOL, RCI, HEMRL, and DYSL-AT for mine countermeasure missions. The system comprises multiple AUVs equipped with Side Scan Sonar and under water Cameras as primary payloads for real-time detection & classification of Mine-Like Objects. The onboard deep learning based target recognition algorithms enable autonomous classification of MLOs which significantly reduces the mission time. A robust underwater acoustic communication mechanism has been integrated to facilitate inter-AUV data exchange during mission execution ensuring enhanced situational awareness. The recently concluded field trials have successfully validated salient system parameters and critical mission objectives.

Big news. South Korean government has unveiled the 'Laser based Anti-Aircraft Weapon Block-I' for the first time, and it's awesome footage. it's about to deploy it to the Army very soon. It's a 20kW class fiber laser system with a proper size and cost that can be placed easily. Korea's high-ranking research centers are now developing ultra high-power femto laser plasma technology for laser weapons systems. Block-III is also being developed, which is also applicable to military ships as naval versions and plans to have anti-ballistic missile capabilities. This will ensure Korea's low altitude defense along with the '40mm Automated Air Defense System', LAMD-I, LAMD-II, and CIWS-II.

Nibe Limited’s Vayu Astra-1 Loitering Munition Anti-Personal carried out first NCNC demo successfully at Pokhran Range, Rajasthan, with 10 kg warhead in single attempt, successfully hitting the target at 100 km with CEP less than 1 m with abort attack and reattack capability of the LM. The LM is based on an Israeli loitering munition. The team carried out Anti Armour (Anti-Tank) night strike using- IR camera and LM successfully hit the target within the 2 m CEP in a single attempt with capability of handing over the control from GCS to Forward Control Segment 70 km away was successfully demonstrated. At Joshimath (Malari) Uttarakhand Vayu Astra-1 LM had been successfully demonstrated endurance flying more than 90 minutes high altitude loitering and endurance completed at more than 14000 Ft height and LM is recovery for next flight after completion of mission.
