I spoke to Chris Cuomo about Islamism, a dangerous and nefarious political ideology that has to be separated from the Muslim faith to which I proudly belong. While anti-Muslim bigotry does exist and should not be tolerated, it is equally critical to call out violence, intolerant, hateful, and destructive narratives and behaviors associated with Islamism and "political Islam", without being silenced by faux accusations of "Islamophobia," which has become an all-encompassing shield to protect deeply problematic trends and occurrences.
