What Trump/Musk are doing is even worse...they don't really believe in meritocracy. They believe that people are all more or less replaceable, most jobs aren't that hard and any warm body will do. There's no "merit test" for those that they are forcing out. It's a loyalty test.

Trump & his cult followers know this already but they are intentionally and purposefully painting a picture of inadequacy of minorities, the disabled, the LGBTQ community and yes, women because white men want to continue to fail up and not have to compete and continue to lose.

As much as I appreciate you unpacking this and making it simpler for people that don’t understand what it means I really feel like it’s a little too late. Donald Trump has created a narrative and allowed it to grow and fester to the point that I don’t know how we fix it.
