Michael Saylor: We Sold Bitcoin to Prove It Wouldn't Crash the Market Strategy founder Michael Saylor Michael Saylor said in an August 6 interview with The Diary Of A CEO that the market believed Strategy could not sell Bitcoin because doing so might cause BTC to crash, leaving the company trapped in a "doom loop" of repeatedly selling equity to pay dividends. To break that narrative, Strategy sold Bitcoin when BTC was trading at around $59,000 to $60,000, and the price instead moved higher. Saylor said the company's break-even point is about 3.2%, meaning that if Bitcoin appreciates by that amount, Strategy can sell part of its BTC to pay dividends without continuing to sell equity.

We are launching the new T0 API for new tokens, which allows you to query the chain to find the market with the most liquidity to swap directly. Tokens will be available using this feature immediately after they are launched. You can try this on today. This feature currently supports Raydium’s CPMM pools and Meteora Dynamic Pools/DLMM as well as Orca Whirlpools. Direct routing is enabled, so you might need SOL or USDC to trade these new tokens. We also shipped a few upgrades to that aims to reduce loading times. When you open the UI it will only load the strict list, instead of the entire 80K tokens on the all-list. We then use Typesense, a performant search engine to serve results from the all-list. If the all-list doesnt contain your desired token, it will then query the chain directly using the new T0 API and swap using direct routing. You should see improved loading times on the front-end and an overall much smoother experience looking for your tokens now. We will be rolling out Metropolis Part 2 and Ecosystem Token Lists next. FLOKI LAUNCHES TOKENFI (with "TOKEN" ticker) TO CAPITALIZE ON THE TRILLION-DOLLAR TOKENIZATION INDUSTRY Floki has launched a crypto and asset tokenization platform named TokenFi to capitalize on the trillion-dollar tokenization industry. The tokenization industry is projected to be a $16 trillion industry by the year 2030. BlackRock, the world's biggest institutional investor with $10 trillion of assets under management, strongly believes in the industry's potential, which they call "the next evolution in markets". TokenFi, with the ticker TOKEN, aims to simplify the crypto and asset tokenization process and eventually become the foremost tokenization platform in the world. We will unveil the platform website on the 27th of October, and you can finally see what we've got planned, but for now, you can find the token details below. TOKENFI TOKEN DETAILS: - Token name: TokenFi - Token Ticker: TOKEN - Total supply: 10 billion tokens split across BSC and ETH (5 billion tokens on each chain). - Launch market cap: $50,000 circulating and $500,000 diluted market cap. - Industry targeted: Tokenization, Real World Assets, Launchpad. I’ve been keeping a very close eye on the Reserve Bank’s moves toward a digital future. During this exchange with Governor Bullock, I pressed for clarity on exactly where they are headed with Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) and the "unified digital currency" the big banks have been whispering about. I asked about developments in both domestic and international settlements. The Governor admitted that while they ran a pilot back in 2023, the focus has shifted. They aren't looking at a "retail CBDC" right now, which would be digital cash for everyday shopping. Instead, their focus is firmly on looking at how to settle "tokenised assets." Tokenised financial products, also called asset tokens, are a way to turn traditional money-related things into digital versions that live on blockchain technology, the same as that used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. These could include shares, real estate, artworks and precious metals. Normally these are hard to buy and/or sell quickly, especially in small amounts, and often involve lots of paperwork, middlemen and high minimum investments. Tokenisation changes that by creating a digital token that acts like a certificate of ownership for a piece (or all) of that real thing. The token is recorded on a blockchain, which is theoretically secure. You would be able to buy a share of a home, business, art or precious metals within minutes, allowing small investments to grow your savings more than bank interest would do. Those customers are now wrestling over the tokens. Token usage and therefore the additional value generated on top of those tokens aggregates among fewer and fewer companies. I don't have Mythos but you know who has Mythos, top banks. There are people like Ken Griffin of Citadel who can just sign a deal with OpenAI or Antrhopic for access to your models. I'll buy the first $10 billion worth of tokens each year. So whenever you release the model, I'll spend the first 10 billion tokens and then everyone else can get the model after that. Now, he's going to crush everyone in the markets.
