I absolutely do not understand why international flights would be a priority over domestic ones.

Commercial air travel could completely stop if the shutdown continues, but private aircraft will continue to fly. You know, like the ones our elected officials fly on. They continue to get paid and continue to travel. The shutdown doesn't affect them at all.

It is time to privatize the employment of the US Air Traffic Controllers and TSA Security. Let Airlines pay for them though fees added to passenger tickets. The way it was before 911. And before the Federal power grab of the US Air transportation system.

Yes, if you stop paying the FAA and for months, you get no flight control, no approved flight routes, all flights are unsafe. If you stop paying TSA for months, no passengers or luggage are screened to admit on a plane,and no airport/airline security protocols are approved safe.
