flowery literally puts ralsei in a closet and gives him back the hat which basically symbolises his repression, ralsei follows the rules because to step out and be happy would mean to hurt others

this is why flowery evokes kris saying "kris, doesnt he look much better" because it parallels later on when he tells ralsei not to worry about what kris thinks when he gets the pink and blue drink and the "dont you LIKE to serve humans?"

flowery much like ralsei is doomed by the narrative, the entire time he knew his time as a conscious being would end, but he spent every moment being himself and defying all the rules, he didnt have to follow a purpose and i think he tries passing this onto ralsei
