I say this all the time, plenty of fighters have been talking about being fed up with the ufc and wanting to get out of their contracts for years. Yet they won't do what it takes, the promotion isn't going to help you. Fight your fights and move on to negotiate with other promos

@SStricklandMMA already beat @KChimaev and @imavov1, a rematch does nothing for his legacy. Have them fight each other and show @ufc that they can make weight and that they've improved their skills. Sean can fight @ufc's third obligatory fight offer (per year) otherwise.

Demetrious Johnson did not speak with Dana White at UFC Seattle, but did have a conversation with Hunter Campbell: “I said, ‘I appreciate you letting me out of my contract. I really do.’ At the end of the day, the UFC could have said no. They let me get out of my contract, and when I went to ONE Championship, I made great money. I truly believe if I had never gone to ONE Championship, I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today. I have to be grateful. I have to show respect.”

Sean O'Malley on navigating UFC contracts in the Paramount+ era: "You sign a contract, and you have a certain number of fights on it… Once you sign that contract, you can’t fight 4–5 times and then complain, ‘Hey, why am I getting paid this much?’ At some point, you renegotiate your contract. I think I have two more fights left on mine. UFC doesn’t really like it when fighters fight out their contracts, because then you become a free agent. I feel like I’ll probably renegotiate before my next fight. UFC is always taking care of me — they’ve been very good to me."
