not all "oppression" is malignant.. in upbringing and education we emphasize the behaviour we perceive as positive, and aim to oppress or guide the negative behaviorin to something constructive.. like we also as a society reward or punish.. as some actiones will, and should, have consequences.. we use this as a tool to live among each other in more or less harmonious ways and try to respect other people, to a certain point, there property and there general values, even if we don't agree on exactly everything... the general level of respect seems to be declining in some places tho I think the trick is to find the "golden" middle ground... wich looking at history seems to be easier said than done imo.
