The whole argument about oppression dates from the 1970s, when the US had fewer minority groups. Now we have several, and some don't seem to be oppressed at all:

Jeffery, I am 61 and lived through the hard push of feminists telling me how men oppressed me. I have listened to this my entire life. In the rare events that I felt I was dealing with a sexist, it was like waving a bothersome gnat away and no serious life challenge. It was like any other human who was attempting to impede me for any number of reasons. I did briefly drink the feminist poison in the 1980’s but soon realized I would never align with a group so fixated on telling me I was anyone’s victim when that was not my lived experience.
