Americans blame Republicans and Trump for the shutdown because this is their shutdown. They own all of the government. This is on them.

🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent SLAMMED the Democrats over their plan to shut down the government: "What's not good for this economy is this government shutdown. I don't know what Democrats are thinking here because they're going to own it." "The Democrats are in disarray; they're flailing, and this is the best they can do. If they want to take us into a shutdown, they're going to own it!"

🚨🇺🇸 JD VANCE: DEMOCRATS ASKED FOR A SHUTDOWN—NOW THEY’LL GET IT "The Democrats voted to shut down the government, rejecting a clean CR to deny the president negotiating leverage in his new term. They’d rather shut it down to fight for global censorship bullshit. They’ve asked for a shutdown, and that’s exactly what they’re going to get." Source: Kit Maher

This is the FIRST TIME in U.S. history a party has shut down the government over a clean, nonpartisan CR funding bill. It’s a selfish and dangerous political stunt — and Democrats have ZERO shame about the pain they’re inflicting on hardworking families, our troops, veterans, and even women, infants, and children. Every day they stall, more Americans suffer. Democrats must END their Shutdown NOW.

If you’re as mad as I am that Senate Democrats are voting to shut down our government—causing our military to be worried about their next paycheck and SNAP recipients to worry about their next meal—while THEY GET PAID, then CALL EVERY SENATE DEMOCRAT. Join me in DEMANDING DEMOCRATS end this shutdown and REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT.

Democrats have now caused the longest shutdown in U.S. history. It’s hurting Minnesotans, and it must end. Congressman Brad Finstad and I have a message for the Democrats: reopen the government, and let’s get back to work.

Democrats love to talk about compassion—then they lit the fuse, watched it burn, and left Americans to suffer. This shutdown is self-inflicted chaos, and every American can see it. This is gamesmanship disguised as governance. End the shutdown. NOW.
