Denver Mayor Mike Johnston faced difficult questions from Congress about Denver's refusal to let ICE make arrests inside jails and an ICE agent's injury during an arrest outside the jail. I asked Johnston if he's considering changing that policy.

The Next question would have been why haven’t we challenged/questioned our City Ordinances to allow ICE officers to detain while still in custody/handcuffs? Seems logical

This mayor is intentionally misleading his statements to convince Denver he is well within his constraints in cooperating with ice, but he’s not. He’s endangering law enforcement and not identifying arrestees correctly in the system on purpose as there are no identifying fingerprints on file or country of birth on their arrest records “XX” to keep voters misinformed on illegal crime in the city. Ask him real questions, or do we have to do your job for you

They've "notified" ICE 1,200 times, but you can see from this video how well it's worked out. 1,200 ICE notifications does not equal 1,200 ICE apprehensions. This mayor is the worst. And a liar.
