Fun-filled day for the children of North Gaza! Every week, sometimes even twice, we bring a splash of joy to the children of North Gaza. Today, at al-Zahra' camp over 130 kids enjoyed a day filled with dancing, singing, games, contests, and face painting. Each one of these events concludes with gifts of toys and fun accessories for children to light up their faces with smiles, and so that they can take a reminder of the fun they had to their homes. Thank you to all who support Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project North campaign. This is just one of the many initiatives we did today along with baby formula distribution, Hot meals, bread packages, and 20000 liters of fresh water. 7 MILLION LITERS OF WATER DELIVERED ACROSS NORTH GAZA: We are still out there delivering fresh water to North Gaza despite the continuation of the genocide. There are lots of areas and neighborhoods, who are completely dependent on our water deliveries. Haircuts in Jabalia: We were back at it again, free haircuts from our mobile barbershop! The Sameer Project treated 60 kids to haircuts at al-Falouga School in Jabalia. A small gesture with big impact as it improves confidence, boosts moral, and lets the children experience a bit of normalcy for the first time in months. With over crowded shelters and tents, hygiene often becomes an afterthought so by carrying out our mobile barbershop days we are able to return personal dignity and self care to many of these children. In a time when most children in Gaza are being robbed of their right to education, with only a few fortunate enough to attend school or educational tents, we wanted to bring a little light into their lives and draw a smile on their faces. Today, we visited Bader School in Gaza City, in the north, to put smiles on the faces of 100 children by giving them something they could call their own. Each child received a school bag filled with 3 pencils, a ruler, 2 erasers, a sharpener, 3 notepads, 1 Rubik's cube, 1 playing dough set, and 1 drawing book. We would like to thank the beautiful community of the Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project The Sameer Project North campaign, who made this possible. Today we also managed to hold a mobile medical point for pregnant women, distribute 24000 liters of water, and 240 meals, all in the North. By setting up our own oven inside Jabalia Camp, we were able to bake fresh bread on-site and distribute it immediately to families in need. Unlike packaged food, this provided residents with warm, freshly made bread, which many had not eaten in months. Yesterday (10.02.2025), we baked and distributed 2,300 fresh loaves of sajj bread in Jabalia Camp. The destruction of bakeries, severe shortages of flour and fuel, and the ongoing blockade have made it almost impossible for families to access fresh bread. Starting today, we also opened another oven specialized in more nutritious and dense bread. We will share those results with you tomorrow. Every neighborhood we visit in North Gaza is severly lacking in clean and fresh water. People continue needing our support. Yesterday, we delivered 82,000 liters of fresh water across Gaza City, Jabalia, and Beit Lahia( Our team has now delivered over 11 million liters of FRESH clean water across North Gaza since mid June. But, unfortunately, nothing has changed and none of essential infrastructure for water has been rebuilt or restored. They experience a moment of normalcy, getting haircuts, amidst the destruction. This small but important initiative always brings dignity and care to the kids who get a trim. The Sameer Project is doing the work we do with a clear aim: the liberation of Palestine. Our decisions with aid distributions are made with that aim in mind, support: Water is life and without water, certain areas in the Gaza are unlivable. So with the drop in donations, the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project decided to focus our water campaign to the areas in the far North like Jabalia and Beit Lahia, as well as Tuffah and Zaytoun daily. This will encourage the residents of those areas to come back and for those already there to stay. Our water campaign is an integral part of our work at the Sameer Project. From June 2024 till today, not a day has passed without us distributing water. We would like to increase our water distributions even more but for that we need your help. The occupation wants everyone to think the North is cleared out of civilians, giving them cover to bomb and massacre all they want. But the North has not fallen - it is still filled with people, with families, with children. And the North still needs our help. The Sameer Project is getting daily calls from camps and areas asking for water trucks. With heavy hearts we had to lower water supply from 300,000 liters to 200,000 liters due to lack of funds! Donate: The only difference between the “ceasefire” and before it is the intensity of bombing decreased. Otherwise barely any aid is getting in, donations dropped drastically and many areas get NO water at all. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x the Sameer Project team distributed 150 meals to the civil defense team, ambulance team and individual tents in Al Samer neighborhood in Gaza City, support: . Each meal cost $17.85 with 10% commission so total of $2,678. Each meal of rice weighs 800 grams so it’s enough for 2-3 people. With the ongoing imposed famine by the military occupation, a few bites of food, and especially carbs, is very difficult to obtain. We are hoping aid comes into Gaza so that we can return to serving thousands per day. Till then we continue to provide whats available and distributing to hospitals, frontliners and camps.
