Details shared by Amit Vishwakarma I was traveling from Bhopal to Pune with my family in a Kia Seltos. While driving on the Nashik highway, I encountered a situation where a car (an Ertiga) was parked in the high-speed lane. This car was in my blind spot due to a vehicle running ahead of me. I was traveling at around 95 km/h and, upon noticing the parked car, I managed to stop at a safe distance. However, a Ford EcoSport following me collided with my car from the rear, and the EcoSport was then hit by another car, an Ertiga. Fortunately, no one was injured, but all three cars were damaged, with the second Ertiga sustaining the most damage. The drivers of the cars behind me began scolding me for stopping on the highway, and a group of local villagers also gathered and became aggressive. Thankfully, my dashcam footage saved me. I showed them the video, which clearly captured the first Ertiga parked in the high-speed lane, causing the chain reaction. The owner of that Ertiga fled the scene after hearing the sounds of the collisions. Despite the damage, we three drivers handled the situation calmly, as everyone had insurance. I attempted to file a complaint against the driver of the parked Ertiga, but no police station helped me. They claimed that since he wasn’t directly involved in the accident, no complaint could be lodged. Here’s what happened when I tried to file a complaint: 1. I approached the Pune police station (as I’m from Pune and the parked Ertiga also had a Pune registration). They redirected me to a Nashik village police station. 2. During the journey, near Trimbakeshwar, Nashik, an Ertiga car hit me from behind. After the collision, the Ertiga driver started blaming me, saying that I was riding at high speed, that I had a racing bike, and that I suddenly stopped my bike. The Nashik-Trimbakeshwar highway is a four-lane road with speed breakers placed at village intersections. However, I had slowed down my bike at a speed breaker, and I was not speeding, as you can see in the video. Right after the accident, some people passing by helped me and made me sit aside. Then, locals from Trimbakeshwar arrived and started blaming me, saying that since I had a racing bike, it must have been my fault. They didn’t know anything about the situation but directly accused me. If the car driver didn’t have a dashcam, they would have entirely blamed me and framed me for the accident. I immediately took out my phone and started recording a video. If I hadn’t done that, the villagers would have beaten me badly. As a responsible biker, I was wearing a helmet, gloves, and shoes, which helped reduce my injuries. However, I still got injured, and I am sending you photos of my injuries. My neck and back are also in pain because the car ran over me completely. For my safety, I immediately called the Trimbakeshwar police station. The police arrived quickly and managed the situation very well. I also went to the police station, and the officers there handled the case very efficiently. I want to thank the Trimbakeshwar police for managing the situation so well. If the police had not arrived on time, the villagers would have forcefully detained me there. After that, our security staff broke the glass, opened the gate and pulled Shivam out of the car. When Shivam returned home, the doctor checked him. After a while, we sent Shivam to Delhi for treatment. He is still undergoing treatment in Delhi. I spoke with the doctors, and he is not in a condition to come to Kanpur as of now. So many accident like this has occurred..for god sake there is traffic light there and there was no need for an officer to interfere. Instead, what reached home was the news of Anil's death in a road accident in Karnataka's Mysuru district on Sunday evening. Anil was riding his motorbike from Kushalnagar to Bylakuppe when he became a victim of a chain collision. As seen in CCTV footage, Anil was riding on the left side of the road, when he was hit first by an auto-rickshaw and then by a car. A speeding car coming from the Mysuru side towards Kushalnagar rammed into an auto-rickshaw, causing it to overturn and fall onto Anil's motorcycle.
