We made sure the tyres were reinstalled and that all the wheel nuts were tightened. The senior mechanic confirmed that everything was intact, and I even asked my PA to verify that the nuts had indeed been tightened. I personally made sure they had done so. On Saturday, I started hearing an unusual noise coming from the rear of the car. I initially thought it was caused by worn-out bushes. The noise continued on Sunday, and since I did not want to take any chances, I decided that on Monday I would take the car back to the garage to have the bushes checked and repaired. Today, while with my driver, I asked him to help identify where the sound was coming from. That is when we discovered that it was coming from one of the tyres. Out of the five wheel nuts on that tyre, four were loose to the extent that you could remove them by hand, while one was extremely tight. The tyre treads are all intact and in good condition. Engineers and mechanics, is this situation possible due to vibration, or could it have been intentional? Kindly advise, because this could have easily resulted in a very serious accident. I live and work in Pune. I had an unfortunate incident where I was attacked by a few goons on my way home from the office. I was returning from the office in, Kharadi, Pune around 8:30 PM on Wednesday 11th December, 2024. I took a turn on Kharadi-Hadapsar bypass on Accolade society road. As the road was wet and it was not a rainy day I thought of it due to some water tankers which must have passed. But as I reached closer there was a pothole. The car was already slow as it was a narrow alley with bad roads. I further slowed down as evident from dashcam footage. I also tried to keep the wheels of the car to the left of the pothole but it was not possible due to the scooty standing ahead. And the pothole was a little deep and tires rolling over the deep pothole caused a little splash, which was not intentional. After that, these goons chased the car and stopped it a little ahead. You can hear from their language what kind of hooligans they were. I tried to stay calm and tried to explain that it was not intentional but they were not ready to listen to any reasoning. Probably their plan was to take my car to the side and extort money but I refused to take it to the side. Then one of the boys kicked at my car causing a dent and then ran away. I reported this to the police and registered a FIR and gave them the two wheeler number MH12 GP 6147 immediately, but I don't think the police will take any action. The two wheeler's insurance has expired since 2012. They refused to issue any challan also. This kind of incident is common in Pune, Kharadi area and has happened with my colleagues also. Details shared by - Neeraj Narula I was travelling in my Honda City from Murthal to Sonepat for a meeting with my colleague and was trying to overtake a long size trailer truck while descending from a flyover. While I was almost crossing it, the Trailer suddenly sverve to right to save a Thar in its front which suddenly slowed down due to water on the road. I applied brake instantly and was able to stop my car well within 3-4 seconds from 45 kmph to 0. As you are able to see in the video, I was saved from inches from a possible direct collision in front of my car. Fortunately there was no vehicle close at my rear so was saved from back as well. I think the trailer turned too sharp to right that it tilted it's tractor in opposite direction because of its momentum of heavy trailer. Fortunately there was no harm to anyone and everyone was safe and no collision happened whatsoever. The Trailer and it's Driver somehow taken his trailer to the side after 2-3 minutes of this incident. The learning is that controlled speed and attentiveness on highways always keeps you safe because while on highways, a critical situation can arise any moment as it happened with me. And ofcourse as you always suggest importance of Dashcam, thanks to my Dashcam was able to replay the whole incident and analyse what actually happened. #DriveResponsibly

I’m feeling a bit nostalgic today. I was a 70s girl and an 80s teen. My daily life consisted of softball, pitching lessons, and squabbling with my sisters once in a while. I had complete freedom and didn’t even know it. I didn’t have to ask to go out to play or hang out with my friends. I could take the bus to the mall and come home by 6 and my parents had no idea if I was okay or not. The neighbors all looked out for each other and you better not mouth off to them or your parents will hear about it. No cell phones, computers, or Uber. We were thinner because we walked or rode our bikes everywhere and fast food actually had food in it. I miss it. 😢

FROM INBOX | This morning at 7:15, I was a$$aulted by a City of Harare traffic officer. The incident began around 7:05 when two officers approached me as I was parking in a bay. They claimed that one of my car tyres had stepped on a white line. When I asked for a moment to park properly, one officer jumped into the back of my car, while the other clamped it and then also got into the vehicle. They demanded that I drive to their Coventry Road office but then began pressuring me for money, implying that if I didn't give them something, I would be charged $98 once they took the car in. I explained that I didn't have any money, but they continued to threa+en me. I started recording the conversation on my phone, took out $20, and as they were stepping out, I told them I had recorded everything. One officer immediately rushed off, and the other followed. When I demanded my money back, one of them attempted to flee and then śtruck me on the chin with a baton stick and a clenched fist before running away. I sustained a cut on my chin and it’s swollen. I have reported the incident to the police.

"why? just hard work from my engineers and from myself to improve me as a driver" 👏🏻👏🏻 🗣️: friday night did you think you had the car to win the race? and do you have an explanation of the difference of pace between you and oscar? lando: "no, i didn't think so. especially after fp1, i didn't. actually, andrea wanted to make a bet with me because i was pretty disappointed with the pace and how the car was handling in fp1. it got a bit better in fp2, but still the ferraris were just on another level. and i really didn't expect to get as close as we did in quali. but the wind changed from friday to saturday, and the saturday wind really suited our car a lot more. we had a lot more confidence in driving the car, so i could push more. and then i certainly felt like i could be on pole yesterday, and i felt like i could win a race today. i think today the race pace was much better than i was expecting. the degradation was much better than i was expecting too. but it was probably one of my best performances personally in terms of driving the car. the fact i can keep up with oscar on this kind of track, where it's impossible to follow, impossible to overtake, i was within eight tenths or something for 40 laps almost. the fact i could do this is what gave me confidence that i would win the race no matter what, whether he boxed early or late or whatever. the pace advantage i had was huge today. but i don't know why. the cars are identical. and i've just been feeling very, very strong lately. i've worked on many areas from last year. i feel much more confident lately with how to extract performance. and i worked a lot with my engineers to understand this car, because it's certainly not an easy car to understand and figure out on how to drive on the limit consistently. so why? just hard work from my engineers and from myself to improve me as a driver and improve my driving. and that is the answer"

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

As my family all deleted me in a single day (I no longer exist to this day)I collapsed on my kitchen floor as the front door closed. Anons on Anonup looked on knowing what I was probably going to do. Out the door walked the only things that could stop my ptsd. That day I decided to let it eat me alive. Laying on the kitchen floor in tears I cried out to God to take me out of this place. Shortly after my phone 📱 dinged. It was an anon. My brother Jason @Iamjustjason913 sent me a video and told me my soul needed this today. This is the video he sent me….. Feel it like I did……..🙏❤️🙏 My stories are not for sympathy for myself family they are for those without a voice. I need them to know I understand because I have gone through it as well. Be Best

I’ll add some context to my earlier tweet because I’m still mentally recovering from everything that happened. We were southwest of Kankakee, Illinois and we turned north to go down a dirt road with a bunch of chasers, and once we turned down that road everyone started turning around. I assumed everyone was turning around because of the wall cloud/tornado crossing it, well I was wrong. I couple people turned around and very large hail started hitting the road, so we use a persons driveway to turn around and once we got turned around, a big chunk of hail hit my passenger window (because I’m not the driver), presumably baseball sized hail or larger and nearly shattered the window, but thankfully it was soft enough that it didn’t. We went back east and north on the highway to get another view of the tornado and it goes into full multi-vortex like 30 yards in front of us as hail starts hitting the vehicle, so we turn back around to find a vehicle (I don’t wanna call them out directly) was parked in the middle of the road and was blocking it. That chaser moved and we went south to find more cars on the shoulder on the left side of the road and another car stopped in the southbound lanes and they were panicking and they were blocking us from going south. Thankfully they moved and we were able to get south. Around this time, we start getting text messages that my grandparents who live in Yukon were hearing tornado sirens and we’re getting into shelter. So once we got south of the supercell and were repositioning, I was looking at this while driving and directing my mom because I was trying to figure out what was going on. We were going north on a highway and accidentally missed the road to turn right because my mom didn’t see it and I wasn’t paying attention. So she is forced to make a very sharp right turn on a road that curves, and since we chase in a 13,000 pound Chevy dually 1 ton, we can’t exactly turn on a dime. She tries to turn once and can’t make it so she backs up, she then goes forward again thinking she can make it and she can’t, so she has to back up again. In the midst of this, 3 chasers including Connor Croff were behind us and we were getting honked at. I got told that over stream Connor was bad mouthing us, got mad at us, and said that we almost caused a 3 car pile up simply because we stopped at a stop sign, cleared it, then tried to make a sharp right turn but couldn’t make it all the way, and this made me and my mom very mad once we learned this because we didn’t almost cause a 3 car pile up. If we almost did, they shouldn’t have been driving that close to us and should’ve been giving us space. After this, we continued east and eventually ended up ahead of the supercell as it was producing a wedge tornado. We began driving north towards it and my mom told me there was a semi truck coming up beside us and I asked her to turn our CB Radio on and see if I could get into contact with that driver and get him to stop. In the act of doing all of this, I lost complete situational awareness and ended up putting us in a terrible position. I was able to get into contact with the driver who passed us on the left and managed to get him to stop. Once I got him to stop I looked back at radar to see that we were in the path of the tornado so we turned back south. As we were turning south the tornado was crossing the highway and winds increased significantly. Visibility was bad and we got hit by the tornado. We got hit by a satellite or a vortex on the south side of the tornado and almost blew us off of the road. By losing situational awareness, it got us into a terrible situation, and had we not been in our chase vehicle, Black Betty, that could’ve been a lot worse, but it takes a lot to move this truck, let alone roll it. We’re alright, I’m alright. The truck is alright and didn’t sustain any damage from that tornado, but I’m going to be taking a huge step back and reevaluating the way I chase. Thank god we’re alright.

We’re alright, I’m alright. The truck is alright and didn’t sustain any damage from that tornado, but I’m going to be taking a huge step back and reevaluating the way I chase. Thank god we’re alright.

"i was still convinced i could win the race today and we did.. when the car's good and i'm in a good flow, there's no stopping" 😮‍💨 🗣️: what pleases you the most? lando: "the fact the car was very strong today. i was just very happy with a lot of things. i mean, the car was still horrible to drive at times, but quick. and i'd rather a horrible but quick car than anything else. yeah just the pace i had the whole race. even behind oscar at the beginning, of course, it wasn't my finest turn two. but after that, i was seeing what my pace was like and i just was better in every sense, in terms of degradation, in pace. and i was convinced i could still win the race even after that. whether i would box or i would force him to box [by putting him under pressure with the gaps] and i would go long and get fresher tyres and come back through. so i was still convinced i could win the race today and we did. of course, unfortunate for him and unlucky because i think we could have had a one-two. but otherwise, just my pace to stay so close to him for so long. we were just on another level today, and i felt in a very good flow of things. and when the car's good and i'm in a good flow, there's no stopping"

I looked down at my foot... and this was still hanging on! We'd all been swimming in the creek, made it back to camp to hang out, and I happened to look down and realized I had a leech attached to my foot. A little salt was all it took, and he let go before I pulled him off. Just another story from a day in the outdoors. Would you have freaked out or handled it like this? Let me know in the comments!

🚨ORB Captured In Throggs Neck Bronx,NY 6/12/25 at 3:00am "I saw a flash of light through my bedroom window. I began to film it and I knew that it was headed to the main street so I followed it outside of my backyard to the main street and that’s when I got the full video of the orb. This wasn’t a drone as it wasn’t making any noise and it didn’t have a discernible shape . There was a heavy police presence on foot and in the air. I asked the police officer who was on the ground I said hey, are you guys in control of whatever this is and he said no and I immediately took that as let me head back home because Whatever this is could be dangerous or unsafe he didn’t have any answers for me .This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen because my backyard is completely closed off to any street light. When I was coming back from office a drunk cab driver was standing middle of the lane from where I have to go inside and I have to park my vehicle. So I honk him to 3 times but on the fourth he start abusing and rest is in the video I am the person who is driving the blue colour venue car and I kept Cab car is white colour. A person from second floor recorded this video and shared to me for a better proof of the incident that has happened!

Back in Brecksville living with my brother in a house we both bought, we had an apple tree in the backyard that we were too busy to keep up on. I admit I was pulling long hours at the insurance company and he was gone on developers trips all the time. The fruit and the leaves would fall and sometimes land in the neighbors driveway. For the longest time they never said anything about it, they even picked our apples and ate them, I never said anything about that because to be honest I never cared. One day I was on a phone call with a client and I was walking to the backyard and saw a few half eaten apples and apple cores littering the patio area by my garage. I assumed the neighbor ate it and threw it over. As the days passed I saw more and more apples scattered all over my yard. They even but a big branch of my tree off that was beginning to go over the fence. One day while in the garage I saw firsthand they were throwing apples over the fence. I walked by the fence and saw they were trying to spray something around my tree. The tree is literally right next to the fence, it almost touched it. A few days later the leaves looked burnt and even some of the grass by the tree was dying as well. I suspected they were trying to spray some sort of plant killer to kill my tree. I then walked over to them and asked what was going on, they claimed their daughter was visiting and one of the apples fell and dented her car, and they wanted me to address my fruit falling onto their property. The weird thing about the whole thing is I never heard anything about this nor did they ever ask me to pay for the damages. My friends and I ended up getting a latter and trimming most of the branches close to the fence. I did see them reach over on occasion to steal apples but I never really had an issue with them from that point on. I also never offered to pay for the damage because I wasn’t convinced it even happened, I would think if it did I would have heard about it when it happened.

Malls used to have arcades full of video games, and in the early 1990s they were always super busy and jam packed. This is the TILT arcade at Fashion Island Mall in San Mateo in 1991. In ninth grade my friend Jason, who I used to skate with, bragged in class that he could drive a stick and that he could teach me too. It wasn’t in a real car, but on a sit-down racing game with a clutch at a place called TILT, which was at Fashion Island Mall in San Mateo. I begged my parents to let me go on a Friday night and they finally said yes, as long as I was home by ten. We skated there from El Camino in San Mateo and it felt like the longest ride of my life. That whole night was spent on the game, taking turns shifting through the gears like it meant something. I still remember it clearly, because it was the first time my parents let me stay out late, and at the time it felt like the best night I had ever had.
