I came, I bugged, I left Build a Rocket Boy, the studio behind MindsEye was shut down today Leslie Benzies, ex-president of Rockstar North and former GTA Producer left the studio and then founded Build a Rocket Boy in 2016. BARB would go on to showcase a video-game that looked quite similar to Grand Theft Auto games called MindsEye. In 2025, MindsEye launched in a horrible state, nowhere near as polished as everyone expected it to be; bugs, game crashes and performance issues. Instead of taking accountability, the executive leadership blamed the failure on ‘Saboteurs’ and even went as far as to accuse that Rockstar Games had been paying content creators to trash on the game before it launches. This didn't stop there, in an open letter to the executive leadership, employees who worked for BARB accused Leslie Benzies and Mark Gerhard of mistreating them, having them work overtime prior to Mindseye launch. The MindsEye co-CEO went on to say that they've also caught the people who were responsible for the game’s failure. He claimed that it was a €1 million+ sabotage campaign Nothing subnational happened since then except more layoffs in the studio itself, the game didn't get fixed and would go on to receive a final DLC mission which included "evidence" supporting their repeated claims that the game was sabotaged by bad actors.
