India Is Building Stronger Roads from Farm Waste 🔥🛣️ India imports nearly half the bitumen used to build its roads. Now it has a home-grown alternative that is proving just as strong, and in some cases stronger. Indian scientists have developed bio-bitumen, known as Krishi Bind, made from agricultural waste like rice straw. When blended with conventional bitumen, it has matched and, in laboratory tests, even exceeded the strength and durability of regular road binders. Bio-bitumen is produced through pyrolysis, a clean process that converts crop residue into bio-oil without burning or smoke. This material is then blended into road surfaces that are already being laid on pilot stretches of national highways. India is the first country to produce bio-bitumen commercially for roads. Early field performance shows good resistance to heat, moisture and wear, while long-term monitoring continues. The result is simple: roads that last, fewer oil imports, cleaner air and farm waste turned into value. This is not symbolism. It is durable infrastructure built from what was once burned.

But this time it was spotless and clean 😍 If everyone in India took their rubbish away when they come on holidays or day trips out, India would be as clean as the rest of the world. Basically, you don’t even have to look for corruption anymore, because it’s everywhere. He’s sick of the zero-consequences culture where wasting billions of taxpayer dollars gets you a promotion or a pension. Elon’s solution? Simple really, if you waste public money, you're out. Elon is dead-on: until government officials are treated like employees, not untouchable royalty, nothing will change. It’s time to fire the waste and promote the results. “In every direction, there's mad waste. If people simply know that if they waste a ton of taxpayer money, they're going to get fired, that will immediately improve the situation. A presidential appeal for a national clean-up is not a military decree that authorises MPs to compel compliance from citizens or private institutions. The constitutional duty of an MP of is to make laws and hold the Executive accountable & not to enforce executive directives. No serious country relies on periodic clean-up exercises as its sanitation strategy. I have never believed that occasional communal labour is the answer to Ghana's chronic waste management crisis or perennial flooding. slogans about building a cleanliness culture don’t exist anywhere in the world. No country has such a culture. What those countries rather have are sanitation budgets, sanitation personnel, effective sanitation institutions and the political will to enforce sanitation laws. Clean environments are built on systems, not volunteerism. Finally, we must stop confusing populism with public policy. Effective waste management is a professional public service planned, funded and executed by institutions with the technical capacity backed by consistent enforcement of sanitation laws. Ghana deserves institutional competence & sanitation policies over symbolic gestures and political optics!
