♦️DEVELOPING♦️ JMPD TACTICAL RESPONSE UNIT ARRESTS VIRAL PHONE SNATCHER AND SYNDICATE MEMBERS The JMPD Tactical Response Unit has arrested a 26-year-old male suspect linked to multiple phone snatching cases across Gauteng, along with three associates involved in a stolen property syndicate. The primary suspect, a Zimbabwean national, was located... in Hillbrow following a viral video showing him snatching a cellphone. He is linked to numerous thefts, including the March 2025 hijacking of an off-duty JMPD member. Three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested in Johannesburg Central for allegedly flushing stolen phones using specialised equipment. All four suspects are in police custody and will appear in court soon. Investigations continue, and the search for additional suspects is ongoing.
