A Giant Leap for Mumbai Metro Line 4 - 56m, 450 ton steel span installed overnight Rome wasn’t built overnight — but MMR's progress sure can be! In just one night, MMRDA’s engineering teams installed a 56-meter-long, 450-ton steel span over the busy GMLR (Bhandup–Sonapur) Junction, advancing work on Mumbai Metro Line 4 (Wadala to Kasarvadavali) — now over 84.5% complete. Built with precision under challenging conditions of unseasonal rain, this two-girder steel marvel was lifted and placed seamlessly using 9 high-capacity cranes, 2 multi-axle pullers, and 100+ skilled personnel, ensuring the city never stopped moving. This overnight feat brings Mumbai one step closer to faster, safer, and smarter travel — a shining example of #EngineeringExcellence and the spirit behind #MumbaiInMinutes. We thank all the government authorities and agencies especially Traffic Police Authority, BMC & MSEDCL etc involved for their invaluable guidance and support, which played a crucial role in the successful and safe completion of this challenging work Building Mumbai’s future, one steel span at a time. 💪 #MMRDA #UrbanEngineering #InfrastructureThatInspires #MumbaiMetro #MMRDA50 #MahaMumbaiMetro #MetroLine4 #MumbaiInMinutes #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR #MMRDAUpdates #InfrastructureThatInspires #TransformingMumbai #MetroMilestone #UrbanEngineering #SmartMobility #FutureReadyMumbai #BuildingTheFuture #EngineeringMarvel #CityOfProgress #MumbaiMoving #NextGenInfrastructure #MMRProgress #MegaProjectsOfIndia CMO Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis Eknath Shinde - एकनाथ शिंदे Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd माझी Mumbai, आपली BMC Mumbai Traffic Police Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. If you care about climate action, this one's for you. Since we started Octant we've been funding public goods and open-source projects, and we've been working on bigger plans to be able to bring positive and lasting change. 6 epochs later, 65+ projects funded, and $6M distributed, we're excited to announce a major milestone for Epoch 7... 🥁🥁🥁 Introducing the Octant Climate Epoch, in partnership with Climate Coordination Network (CCN) Climate Coordination Network 🌍🌡️This is our first themed round, and it’s all about tackling the climate crisis. 🌡️Why climate and why now? Because if not now, when? The climate crisis is urgent, and action is a collective responsibility. This epoch is our way of empowering builders solving one of humanity’s biggest challenges. 💡Are we climate experts? No. But the folks at Climate Coordination Network are. They’ve been leading climate funding rounds since 2021, crowdfunded $1M+, and distributed $4.5M to web3 projects tackling climate change. Together, we’re here to support the ultimate public good. 💚Why this epoch matters: this is more than funding—it’s a step towards Octant v2, a protocol that helps ecosystems sustainably fund their communities while supporting essential public goods. This epoch will test new mechanisms for v2, designed to better serve high-quality donors and projects. ⭐️So what’s new? — No snapshot for this epoch. Projects will be handpicked with CCN. — The allocation process remains the same for donors, but with curated projects focused on climate. — Testing new tools + processes to improve outcomes for projects and donors. We'll share more on project eligibility and criteria over the next few weeks. What's not changing? ✅ The user rewards in this epoch stay the same. ✅ We'll be back to our regular programming with Epoch 8 being a regular epoch. 📈Funding is just the start. Over the next year, we’re providing mentorship, resources, and long-term support for projects in this epoch. We'll also work with independent experts who will evaluate the impact of these efforts.

How will we know if an AI take over is imminent? What are the warning signs? Connor Leahy: “Things will seem mostly normal, just… weird. Things will get weirder…and weirder… and then one day, we will just not be in control anymore. “There won't be a fight. There won't be a war. It won't be dramatic. It will just be that one day the machines are in control, and not us.” “The way I expect [AI take over] to feel is like, if you play chess against a grandmaster, it doesn’t feel like you're having a heroic battle against the Terminator…. it doesn’t feel like you're having this incredible back and forth, and then you lose... No, it feels more like you THINK you're playing well, you think everything is okay, and then suddenly… you lose… in one move, and you don't know why. This is what it feels like to play chess against a grandmaster, and this is what it's going to feel like for humanity to play against AGI. It won’t be some dramatic battle where the Terminators rise up and try to destroy humanity. No, it will be… things get more and more confusing. [Editor's note: Like Sam Altman, out of nowhere, raising up to 10% of world GDP?] More and more jobs get automated faster and faster... More and more technology gets built, which no one even quite knows how the technology works... There will be mass media movements that don't really make any sense... Like, do we really know the truth of what's going on in the world right now, even now with social media? Do you or I really know what's going on? How much of this is fake? How much of it is generated with AI or other methods? We don't know. And this will get much worse.” Imagine if you have extremely intelligent systems, much smarter than humans, that can generate any image, any video, anything, trying to manipulate you well...and being able to develop new technologies to interfere with politics.”

Bryson DeChambeau speaks about the balance between control and power in his golf game: “Golf isn't about hitting it 400 yards. I proved that a couple years ago. You've got to have a good wedge game, good putting, good iron play. So there is a balance. “But I'm never not pursuing how to swing it faster or have it come off the face faster and then learn how to control it. That's kind of my goal. I always go to how hard can I swing it, and then how do a back off of that. It's just my mentality. So I'll forever be pursuing a little bit of speed as time goes on. “This golf course, you can't swing it hard out here. You can hit it far, but you have to control your ball more than you can kind of just bomb it and let it go wherever. Fairways are tight. “I'll forever be chasing speed. Hopefully the technology can catch up with where our swing speeds are going because right now, any minor mis-hit can make the ball go quite a bit off line. That's why I've got what I'm using now, then working on some stuff, as well, to see if there's any improvements to be made from what I have now, and we'll see where the future takes us. “I'm excited to unveil some special stuff here soon. I've been talking about it for a while, but we just don't have anything that's as good as it needs to be yet.” Bryson has matured so much on and off the course over the last few years and he’s become a much more versatile player because of it. Question from Matt Vincenzi who’s great at getting insightful analysis out of players. It would be good to hear more of him at the LIV Golf pressers. Bryson DeChambeau LIV Golf

How To Trade Hard Penny Markets: "What you can do is trade the setups but sell them more aggressively. That's one way to adapt to harder markets. You can decrease your size, trade less, sell more aggressively, there's many ways of doing things. I personally prefer to just sit back and chill, wait for the easy money. I've traded hard penny markets so many times, it just ends up in frustration. Like a good market...like you're not supposed to work hard, like trading shouldn't be hard, you shouldn't be sitting there and you know, working your ass off, making trades all the time and....you should only trade a certain setup when the conditions are good for that setup. That's something I've realized over the years, I've traded so many of these choppy difficult markets and even if you make some money it was barely worth it because in a good market you will make more money in a few days than you would make in a few months in a hard penny market, so you may as well take a step back, chill, relax, you can do you some trades here and there but don't just constantly look for trades. A good setup, a good trade should be obvious, you're looking at it and you're like wow, that's an insane setup. that's how its supposed to be, you shouldn't be looking with a microscope or a telescope or whatever for trades, they should be kind of obvious, they should be screaming in your face... Now obviously it takes a lot of experience to get to that point, to know which is which. And unfortunately you will have to suffer for a few years before you get to that point, for me it took a lot of years, too many years." – Kristjan Kullamägi 🇺🇦 Full rant here: (well worth watching)
