They claimed to have saved money from Subsidy removal. Can they account for where the money is? Can they also specify what have they been spent on?

Fiscal recklessness and economic sabotage. You borrow tomorrow’s money, spend it today, and drag yesterday’s budget forward.

Rolling over budgets isn’t reform, it’s proof that planning has failed. Borrowing against the future, spending it, then surviving on recycled budgets simply shifts today’s failures to citizens. Inflation and hardship aren’t accidental, they’re consequences. This isn’t politics, it’s intergenerational debt with no intergenerational benefit.

Incompetence and Economic sabotage!!! Running multiple budget cycles (2024, 2025 and 2026 in-lieu), all at the same time, after borrowing ahead and spending recurrent expecditure upfront. I have never seen it happen anywhere in the woorld.

Cho cho cho all the time... You claimed to have met and surpased your revenue target but you've borrowed more than any other government in Nigeria's history. No be juju be that...

Half the people seated here cannot follow the conversation or what he is saying. Neither do they understand what is happening. They just wear expensive clothes, and are happy to be in the halls of power. Like they are under a spell. Omo!

Ah😭 This isn’t incompetence anymore; it is fiscal recklessness. Borrow tomorrow’s money, spend it today, and drag yesterday’s budget forward. Then we wonder why the economy is struggling. Running multiple budget cycles at once after borrowing ahead is a clear recipe for economic instability.

When a govt chooses propaganda, lies and deception, they potentially lose the trust of the people. That's what has happened here.

The government should be grateful to Dangote. His refinery has closed a major gap in capital flight; without it, Nigeria’s situation would have been much worse.

So technically, BAT administration hasn't successfully implemented any FY budget, except 2023 which was inherited. Truly, this screams of poor planning and scheme to steal public funds. Bcus tell me why we are still rolling over 2024 budget despite the heavy borrowings?

This is why I'm against working so hard and giving my hard-earned money to these people in the name of paying taxes. Thank God there are legal ways of avoiding tax. Get your own copy of the tax avoidance document and protect your money:

I am not a finance person, but I know that rolling over '24 budget to '26 is not right and portrays poor planning n management. So we were running two budgets in '25, yet we daily see huge figures of borrowing without any meaningful improvements to the lives of the citizens.

It’s obvious, even to the blind that they’ve been overspending from scarce resources. Instead of them to make economic policies that will cushion the cost of governance; they went on a spending spree and are now explaining huge deficits. We’re in 2025 but we’ve already finished spending 2026 pocket money. Omo! By the time this president finish with Naija money eh, body go tell us.

section 82 of the 1999 Nigeria constitution if the budget isn't passed by the new financial year, to authorize spending from the Consolidated Revenue Fund for up to six months. This review allow them steal as they like, that's why you can't fine governor will not love Tinubu

This is the height of fiscal indiscipline. Only 30% of 2025 capital budget funded, yet we're rolling over trillions to 2026 while debt balloons to ₦152 trillion. Where are the trillions saved from fuel subsidy removal? Record borrowing, zero accountability, and Nigerians are paying with hunger and inflation.

This is, quite frankly, staggering. An abject failure of leadership and competence. Carrying a 2024 budget into 2026 is not policy; it is fiscal recklessness of the highest order. Ironically, this same administration created a Ministry of Budget and Fiscal Planning, yet has delivered the worst record of planning, transparency, and discipline in recent history. Nothing is clear, nothing is coherent, and everything is shrouded in secrecy. Public officials issue contradictory claims without shame. On fiscal credibility alone, this administration has exhausted whatever benefit of doubt it had left. What we see instead is propaganda replacing data, confusion replacing strategy, and incompetence masquerading as leadership.
