Devin is getting a Windows PC. Devin can now natively run in a Windows VM, so it can build, run, and test native Windows applications.

You can now access the full power of Devin on Windows. → Map, build, and modernize Windows applications → Migrate .NET Framework to .NET Core with built-in QA and testing → Test and QA Windows apps with Devin’s computer use capabilities

Devin can also run and test Windows applications with computer use – or rebuild your favorites from scratch!

Devin also now works with Windows-native toolchains: MSBuild, IIS, PowerShell, SQL Server, and more. It works inside the environment these systems actually depend on. Devin for Windows carries enterprise security and governance controls: isolated sessions, no customer code used for training, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance, SSO, and RBAC.

every enterprise has a .NET migration backlog nobody wants to touch. Devin just volunteered.

The real opportunity here isn’t flashy demos. It’s decades of enterprise technical debt finally becoming automatable: legacy migrations, test generation, dependency cleanup, UI automation, internal tooling maintenance. AI agents doing backlog reduction at enterprise scale could become a massive market.

People don't say it enough but the biggest companies in the world definitely use Windows

@cognition Love this. A lot of AI dev tools still feel macOS-first, while Windows and .NET teams build serious production software every day. Native Windows build/run/test support is a huge step toward treating those workflows as first-class.

nice, finally can skip the cross compiling headaches. might spin up a vm to test my robot vision code. curious if the build times stay reasonable.

Won a MAX promo code, got an email confirmation from the team, but when I used it, it said “expired.” Replied to the same email with the error and got no response. Genuine issue or just a marketing tactic? Transparency would help.

In other words, if you want Devin to get even more confused because it's trying to do stuff that never works, you can now have it run on Windows.

"Devin is getting a Windows PC." said like a proud parent. Devin runs in a VM. Devin doesn't "get" anything. Devin is a cloud agent that can now SSH into a Windows sandbox. the marketing copy writes itself and the devs roll their eyes. same as always.

Your 2025 demo was faked. 2026 mindshare bled to Claude Code. Now Devin announces VMs. Priority: distraction, not reliability.
