Contractor here, This is totally useless

Why do you think it’s useless as an experienced contractor?

@patrickb3333 To be fair I agree, Footprint of this is larger than a ladder, You would spent a vast amount of time getting this into place It’s too heavy to lift into place If your using this you may as well just use a cherry picker / scissor lift It would also need LOLAR inspections yrly

@patrickb3333 Your observations are great. But have you also thought about the negative effects of using a ladder?

Profilbild von chris@chriskemprealty.com

Are you kidding me? Who’s going to move that contraption around and take 20 minutes to get it where you need it to go when you can pick up a ladder and do it in two minutes

Looks like it'll cost 100x more than a ladder, be more prone to breakage, harder to maintain and replace, and harder to transport.... Sorry I think contractors will prefer something that is more usable unless they got the money for vanity and the space...

Raymond order pickers have been around late 70's to early 80's. battery operated, mobile.

Just funny it's hand crank they are a a battery tool maker 😆.

This would have worked in around 2% of the thousands of times I've been on a ladder.

wow you mean I can have a bulky lift that is heavier and slower and it doesn't fit in as many places and doesn't go as high and isn't even electric for only 20 times the price of a ladder sign me right the fuck up

Lol - yeah let me just easily remove that from the top of my work van, get it into the house - no biggie.

Can only imagine what this costs compared to a ladder. Very cool though. Would help older tradesmen stay in the game.

If it can work on a unleveled surface. If it is light enough to carry. If it can roll across rocks. If it can reach 16ft high. If it was made more stable than that scary thing…

Profilbild von Roenel

Yea…no. Unless I can hook up my drill to move it and to power the lift then it is indeed useless.

And it’s battery powered so you can work and not spend time spinning a crank.

Imagine having to throw that in the bed of the truck or on the ladder rack.

We will never see one of those riding on top of a van or on a ladder rack. Ladders are lighter and more mobile than that…. Single man lift. Quit being a bitch, throw a ladder on your shoulder, go to your work area, set the ladder up. Climb on first rung, give it the shack test, climb to the top. Keep your dick around center, and feet on the step and you go to work. Stop being a soft ass bitch.

that’s terrible how much more expensive is that to a ladder ? On going Costs ? How fast can you get that assembled dis assembled how many people does it take to get it into a van ? I’ll stick with with a wooden ladder Talk about stupid technology solutions for none problems

Goodbye ladders get the fuck out of here that's called laziness a ladder is much more easy to set up and purchase something like that I can store a lot of almost anywhere in my house or garage I can't store that shit anywhere that's not gonna take up a lot of space who's carrying that shit not me

Not necessarily a goodbye to ladder. But professionally and as per safety precautions and regulations, this new innovation supersedes ladder.

His has absolutely nothing to do with replacing ladders. The added text overlay is from some retard that continues to get shared. See black stabilizing blocks that lift about standard 8ft ceiling. For hvac probably but would be huge for AV techs like me.

That’s awesome but good luck packing 25 of those on a van for a night crew switching out lights in a school. I could carry 4 ladders if needed but these would take at lest 4 men to carry it. Lol

What’s so special about it? It’s slow, impractical, useless in tight spaces, and most likely expensive. On top of that, DeWalt has the money to lobby so every job site is forced to use it. With tight deadlines and multiple trades working at once, we need something mobile that can be moved easily. Dewalt is not step ahead, then design better product. I hope Dewalt read my comment.
