UCC sits under Article 44 and deals with personal civil matters like marriage, divorce, inheritance, adoption, and maintenance. One Nation One Election is a separate electoral reform proposal about synchronising Lok Sabha and state assembly polls. Even critics of simultaneous elections usually attack it on federalism or fairness grounds. Not because it has anything to do with civil law. In Uttarakhand’s UCC framework, the debate is over marriage registration, inheritance, age, and polygamy. Not poll dates. You can oppose UCC. You can oppose simultaneous elections. But merging both into one sentence only proves you did not understand either.
