New Tools for a New Era. Coding agents like Claude and Cursor have dramatically reduced the time it takes to go from idea to functional software. But the experience of designing and refining with them sucks. One reason for this is that while the terminal is an incredible tool for communicating direction with language, it is a terrible tool for defining and exploring visual and interactive objects. Here is one idea for how we might fix a small part of that. In the old world, when you wanted to create a transition or animation in your app, you would type some code, refresh your local server, and click to run your animation. It probably wasn't right, because after all no one can know what 'cubic-bezier(0.3, 0.05, 0.45, 1)' really feels like when you read it. You need to see it. Feel it. Interact with it in a real world context. So you'd edit some values, save, refresh, and keep guessing and checking until it felt right. Today, you can write a quick, single-use tool that's a visual studio for designing animations. You can then configure some components and containers common in all apps, and explore different animations in real time, adjusting key properties, and getting it just right. Then, you can copy a highly detailed prompt (or export a skill containing all your animations) that captures your intent and direction with perfect clarity. Paste this into your terminal and your agent instantly implements it everywhere. To me, this is an improvement over the old world, and a better way to work in today's. I'm extremely excited to see the ways in which our ability to rapidly create software will shape how we design software tomorrow. Feedback, ideas, and critiques welcome!

Scary VIDEO: North West’s Porous Forest Routes Fueling Banditry and Terrorist Movement The vast forest reserves crisscrossing Nigeria’s North West have become major security liabilities, offering criminals, insurgents and bandits unpoliced highways across multiple states. Security analysts trace a troubling chain of interconnected forests that stretch seamlessly from Katsina State through Kaduna, Niger, Zamfara and Sokoto. At the centre of this network is the Rugu Forest in Katsina, which links directly to Rijana in Kaduna. From there, armed groups easily exploit the forest corridor into Southern Kaduna, and further southward into Kontagora in Niger State. The same stretch extends westward into Makuku forest, then runs through Daki Takwas, Gandu (Dan Sadau axis), Anka and Mayanchi, until it reaches Bana forest in Mafara (Zamfara State). This porous forest belt ultimately empties into Gundumi forest in Eastern Sokoto State, creating one of the most extensive hideouts for non-state armed groups in the region. For years, security agencies have struggled to contain the mobility advantage that terrorists enjoy from this natural cover. The absence of permanent surveillance, combined with the sheer size and density of the terrain, makes the forests a ready sanctuary for staging attacks, retreating with hostages, and moving weapons. Unless Nigeria adopts a joint inter-state security architecture, the terrorists will continue to exploit these corridors. A coordinated strategy combining air surveillance, forest patrols, and intelligence-sharing among the affected states is seen as the only way to break the chain of criminal mobility. The North West, long plagued by cattle rustling, kidnapping-for-ransom, and rural banditry, is now under threat of becoming a permanent corridor of instability stretching from Katsina to Sokoto, Zamfara,Kebbi, Kaduna, and spilling into Niger State. Just wrapped up Hardwood Empire 3.2. A lot of the most asked for features / improvements you guys have been pushing for are in this one. Live Interactive Court: Biggest visual upgrade we've made. Gamecast now has a full live court built into the sim with dynamic home court branding, center logos, arena styling, and live shot mapping. You can actually see where shots happen in real time instead of just reading text. Dynamic Crowds: Arenas feel alive now. Crowds scale based on prestige, so blue blood home games feel packed while smaller gyms feel smaller. Neutral site games can have split crowds depending on who's playing, and fans react live during big moments. Usage Control System: Still the normal 1st / 2nd / 3rd option setup, but now there's also full usage sliders if you want total control over offensive shot distribution. One guy taking over or a completely balanced system, totally up to you. Plugs directly into the actual sim. Music: Added in-game soundtracks for a more immersive experience, with more music coming next update. Gameplay / Sim Improvements: Big realism pass. Late game logic is much smarter, offensive systems behave more realistically, and I spent a lot of time tuning sim rates so scoring, assists, rebounds, pace, and advanced metrics better match modern college basketball. Also tuned long-term dynasty balance so smaller / mid-major schools can still have real breakthrough runs without turning into permanent national powers every save. Other Fixes + QOL: New Player IQ attribute. Working haptics on iOS + Android. Transfer portal affordability indicators. Career / retirement history fixes. International recruit fixes. Schedule + MTE fixes. UI polish. And more. Everything in this update is completely free. No God Mode purchase needed. 3.1 got submitted before I was even home from school, so 3.2 had way more time for polish and bug fixes, and the update after this will probably be way more bug-focused since the game has a ton of features now and making everything as polished and stable as possible is the priority. Most of these features will also be toggleable, so if you want the more classic Hardwood Empire experience you're more than welcome to play that way too. Seriously appreciate all the support, this community has grown way faster than I ever expected. Submitting to iOS + Android as soon as this post hits 500 likes ❤️

You guys asked for a deeper sim and that's what 2.9 is. Submitted. Rebuilt Avatars: Player avatars completely redone. 14 hairstyles, 8 skin tones, 6 hair colors, beard options, all at higher resolution. Over 50,000 combinations across the 4,700+ players the game generates. Coach avatars got the same revamp. Player Cards: Cards rebuilt from scratch to feel like a broadcast graphic. Team-color gradient hero that pulls each program's actual colors, oversized OVR display, archetype line, headline stat strip, and tabs for stats, ratings, game logs, and bio. Coaching Systems: Biggest gameplay shift in this build. You pick an offensive scheme and a defensive scheme and they change how your team plays. 6 offensive options (Run & Gun, Motion, Pick & Roll, Princeton, Post-Centric, Balanced) and 6 defensive options (Man, 2-3, 3-2, 1-3-1, Press/Trap, Pack Line). Run & Gun teams shoot more threes and turn the ball over more. Pack Line teams give up fewer paint points but allow more open looks. Same modifiers run in live games and background sims so your scheme matters either way. Scout Cards: Tap any team and you can now see their offensive and defensive playstyle laid out in full. Real game-planning is finally possible. Facing a Press team, you can scheme around it. Facing a 2-3 zone, you can prep your shooters. Pull up an opponent before tipoff and actually know what you're up against. Recruiting Pipelines: Recruit generation now mirrors real basketball geography. Top talent clusters in real hotbeds. Class rank, position rank, and state rank show on every recruit. All-American badges flag elite prospects and State Player of the Year badges call out standouts in smaller states, but neither is an auto cheat code. An All-American is a strong prospect on paper, development still matters, and not every one pans out. State POY varies a lot by state. The real edge is taking a job in a strong pipeline state. Better states produce better players more often, and coaching in a hotbed gives you home state advantage on recruits everyone else is fighting over. Smarter Rankings + Bug Fixes: Rankings rebuilt to reflect who's actually playing the best. Quality wins matter, strength of schedule matters, bad losses hurt. Plus a long list of bug fixes from your Discord reports. If you posted a bug, it's been looked at even if I didn't reply directly. Android: Thank you for everyone who has been testing! We have finally got aversion that is ready for release and I am submitting it right now! I will keep you guys updated on when it drops❤️
