I think there are two devices in his hands, with buttons that shut off the light from the top, while simultaneously turning on two laser pointers on the device that shoot off in opposite directions. Think of him holding like two small magic wands with a button in the center. On the ends of the wands, instead of the white tips, there are laser pointers. He's gotta learn the preprogrammed light show and know when to maximize using these wands for effect. It seems there's room for a little improvisation too. If it isn't an off the shelf product, it could be done with ESP32s pretty easily. The key is syncing the button to turn off the light from the top and turning on the lasers, with zero latency. It is very cool.
